I feel that it depends on the market. While yes, you can make money without being top dasher, if you're looking to do Gig work full time, the benefits of dashing anytime helps. In many smaller cities/towns, time slots fill up fast, which ultimately affects earnings as well. :)

17:03 my grandpa and uncle are truck drivers and sadly that happens a lot. Most truck drivers are hauling extremely heavy loads and they can’t just stop on a dime when someone pulls out in front of them since they have air brakes. They will slide a good quarter to a mile before they can stop.

I’m in the Huntington & Brookhaven north district for Doordash. And I can’t believe how dead it is even despite them making us schedule. DoorDash is dying. UberEats is still fairly reliable in Suffolk though

My market has been slow. Been using all my apps. I am not a top dasher.

1) Thanks for the shoutout, I think it’s cool you guys do that (it’s Claude though - not Claudia). My wife Beth is jealous because she wanted a shoutout too. We joke that we are the South Jersey Dash Experience when we dash together. 2) I am a Top Dasher that still multi-apps. It has been possible to do both. I believe my TD status does allow me to get the better orders, however, this is really only at peak times such as Friday-Sunday nights. The rest of the time I get a true mix of good/bad.

Congrats on hittin' that goal! That idiot driver was giving me anxiety...so unnecessary to risk your life and others just to get nowhere fast.

My husband and I work together. Since I have top priority on shopping orders, that's all we concentrate on.

Blueberry bagels are very good with cream cheese, my oldest son loves them.

I still maintain top dasher every month , but have dedicated more time to catering. My Doordash income has dropped from 70% to about 55%. There are other apps that treat you better

Hi Lou and Mary, you guys are doing well. I've been top dasher all of February2024, just starting doing UberEats deliverys again. One shift I had 5 mcdonalds out of 8 deliverys in one shift for my morning rush deliverys. My coffee break I get from my favourite coffee places once I get back into my 5km radius. As most hotspots I deliver in my area are pretty close to eachother. 10km is my Max range. I've only had 2 orders over 10 weeks over 16km and paid reasonable amount for the delivery. 10 weeks in business all Taxes and accounting BAS reports all completed and paid for the 1st Quarter ending 31 December 2023. This Quarter 1st Jan2024 til 31 march2024 is looking like a refund for my business

The last month for doordash I haven't been able to dash now. I keep having to schedule a time and the times are shit. I manly use uber eats now in the brookhaven area. Has anyone been to this area? Is it good for you? It's hit or miss for me.

I think it’s disingenuous to say it’s not necessary. That might be the case for you BUT it’s imperative in others markets that are over saturated with large groups of people. As a “influencer” you need to stay in your lane.
