This is a great idea! I was just looking at my candle jar “collection” and was going to toss them. Now I know I can ♻️ them 😘

A hair drier melts it instantly, it also gets candle wax off wallpaper etc, heat and dab with kitchen roll.

I did the same for makeup brushes but I added a two inch layer of tiny river rocks. Helps the brushes to stand up straight.

Cracking usually happens when cooling down a container rapidly. You can warm the glass gradually.

To remove price stickers and it's glue residue, I use "Goo gone". Also, labels on glass food jars come off easily with this stuff.
