Big Daddys museum is incredible

What a man , and my hero thru the 60's but never got to see him run (Laplace Raceway , north of New Orleans 1968-69)he ran there I hear but I missed it . You can tell his passion as he probably told the same story hundreds of times ,may he live to 110.God Bless all

I don't care what you call Don Garlits, whether it be "Big Daddy", "Big" or "Large Father", he will always be "the man". I was fortunate to meet him in the early 70s when I was drag racing. Thanks for all of the memories, Big! Bgivco, thanks for sharing.

Marlon, I've known Don since 1965, he's a class act & has always been sharp as a tack. I think the day he was born he knew what he was gonna do. Glad you liked the video, keep working on stuff & thanks for watching!!

That is bad ass ! I met him once at his place and he is the nicest person you could ever run into .

I've been lucky enough to have spoken with Don a few times over the years and I couldn't help but notice that he has arms and hands that look like he could tear an anvil in half. I see that hasn't changed.

I'll never forget when NHRA was on wild world sports big daddy got the bad lane he said that lane can be won and he won the race one of the all time greats and he did it from sound of the motor and his experience of racing

The elevated idle between 6:16 and 6:28 sounds just like the monster-sounding, fast-idling Larry Minor All stars at Pomona in '84-'85.

Stephen , I've known Big Daddy since the mid 60's. Engineer,chassis builder, engines & driving he's done it all. Just ask Don a tech question, his eyes brighten up & we might talk for hours. To this day he's still sharp as a tack. Thanks for watching!!

Mr. Don u remember the golf ball w/ all the dimples on the outside could this b applied as if a intake port was peppered w/ this stuff w/ a laser guided map of the Port to impregnate that tunnel of the intake port, I’ve seen pictures of it & was wondering if u ever seen such a thing ? “ I’m thinking something for nothing & the CFM’s should speed it up, if it works on a golf ball, what do u think ?” I could talk about this for hrs & other stuff & thank ya sir, b safe !

thevmanvj, I'd luv a good lung full right now Brother!! I always keep a sprayer around with fuel in it, just a few sprays will help with the withdrawls. Keep working on stuff, Nitro Or Nothing, Go Fast Or Go Home, happy holidays & thanks for watching!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone know if Don Garlits owned a white 92 could De Ville I bought one with his emblems on it....just trying to figure out some history behind it.
