I have those wheels on my car without mini tubbing. Sn95 spindles and fox length 5 lug rear. Looks great. But yes mini tubbing is mucho work

didn't realize but UPR has a kit that puts the Viking springs over the stock style shock....so I ordered some

I really like the attention to detail that You are putting into the building of the mini tubs they are looking great ! Personally I would just go to coilovers for the rear . UPR makes a coilover conversion kit that is reasonably priced and easy to install . Just an idea . Great content please keep the updates coming ! Thank You 🇺🇲 🇵🇷 🦊 👍

So much win here! Loving this! I know you put the plate on top near the strut but are you going to plate the frame sides where you notched it too? Or are you hoping the cage will be enough?

even without a cage it would be fine....may do a custom inner plate though

Kinda enjoying this kinda series so far. It kinda looks kinda daunting, not something I would feel in any way kinda comfortable doing. You are kinda the man to get it kinda done, though. I'm kinda sure of that. I'm kinda looking forward to seeing how it kinda looks when it is kinda complete.

U should of put some torque boxes in and real wheel tubs seems like a lot of work just so it can look stock. Only thing I can think is ur going to bag it and lay it on the ground witch would be fucking cool 😎

Not 100% yet. Most likely a stroked 351w and for sure a manual trans. Up in the air about making it an NA monster or go single turbo.

@@Thefabforums a 408w with good heads n/a would get that car in the 10s easily. Shoot low 9s on the giggle gas.

Make your life a lot easier and buy the mini tub kit from Detroit Speed fits like a glove

What width on the front wheels do you like to run? I'm debating between 8" and 9", with a 10" in back.. how about viewers? I have a 90 hatchback LX 5.0

On this build it will be 9 up front with a 10.5 in the rear
