Dog screams every time he is touched - so sad to see such a scared dog 💔

Loreta was quick here and managed to avoid a bite, but in two days, I will post a video where she wasn't that lucky and was bitten TWICE - I will post it here: www.HopeForPaws.org ❤️
When we got a text on the #HopeForPaws emergency line, we headed out to rescue #Arnold. It's important to understand that dogs like him don't usually leave the shelters alive... the system doesn't have the resources to provide the support system that a dog like him needs.
After ruling out a medical issue, Arnold continued to our friends at #FoxyAndTheHounds where Terri Fox had to teach him how to love all over again. She did a great job and she really turned him around! She then did something even more amazing, but you'll have to watch until the end 🥰
There are many more dogs for adoption on their website: www.FoxyAndTheHounds.org
I just spoke to Loreta and she asked if there is any way for her to text our subscribers... she wants to send a message to everybody. I told her that every person who signs up here will get her text: www.HopeForPaws.org/Join
Thank you so much for watching our videos! Tomorrow I will post another video 😉

I am Arnold’s new mama. He had the most amazing Christmas and Santa filled his stocking up with lots of toys. Arnold is by far the hardest rescue we have ever adopted however this little boy wants to love and be loved so very much and every day it gets better. Arnold now spends his days on any and all pieces of furniture in the house. He loves taking a nap on his heating pad most days. He has more toys than he knows what to do with and his diet consists of roasted chicken, boiled chicken, ground sirloin, Kobe beef, roast beef, and turkey. We will spoil Arnold for the rest of his life and love him. We will NEVER abandon him or hurt him. He now lives the life of luxury!!

I have had 24 cats in 44 years. ALL of them were homeless before I rescued them. My girlfriend has 2 cats we rescued from abuse & our beloved Betty Boop cat died 3 years ago at 16 & she was rescued from abandonment, covered with fleas & full of worms. She was one of the sweetest cats ever. My girlfriend has had many homeless cats and kittens as well. Her girlfriend took in a pregnant mama cat and now has 5 and a dog. No animal or human should wind up abandoned and on the street.
People actually gave you a hard time on social media? What a horrible world we live in. Bless you
Why would people be unkind about immersion therapy? If the person doing it is kind and trustworthy, it's a good way to go.

Marie C That is an unfair statement. It is mostly reacting to the reactions of a frightened animal and not relating this to a human that is severely afraid. If they did this, most would likely feel that if it is okay for a human then the animal will be fine, too. Be careful with your emotions and comments you make. Don't feed the trolls. HFP is about helping not only animals, but helping people to be better pet owners. They do not want people angered any more than they need to be. Nor do they want people to be unreasonable or unbalanced in their anger.
The negative comments about their rescue techniques are ridiculous. The results speak for themselves. Hope for Paws is definitely one of the top 5 rescue channels on YT. The pets are handled with compassion and patience by everyone involved. I support them whenever I can.🥰
Negative people will always wanna say something. I think all of you good people that are these animals voices are amazing and may God bless you all
Abuse was the first thing thatcI thought judhing from his reaction 😪 Poor baby, I'm so happy you rescued him and now he has a new lease on life 😊
Every Single Day I come to Hope For Paws for HOPE to help me believe things will get better for all of us.
Thank you for rescuing him. Whatever technique you use to fine, as long as it's not hurtful.
Eldad, do not let the people who left bad messages stop you. That is the downside to comments, but the upside is the overwhelming majority understands. Happy New year, and this is the place I donate. Thanks!

Agreed! The best part was the homeowners making sure Arnold was going to an indoor home with his own family and not an outdoor dog sanctuary.
I can't believe people would leave ignorant nasty comments about "flooding". As if they know better than Hope For Paws! You guys are the best at everything you do!👍❤
There are people in this world that would criticize regardless of the situation! Pay no attention to them! You folks know what you are doing!!
I will always be in awe of the resilience of dogs,to get mistreated and abandoned yet still find it their hearts to forgive,my god I absolutely love dogs
I adopted an extremely timid and scared 3lb chihuahua from a hoarding situation. She had never been socialized and was about 1 year old. I didn't know there was a technique called 'flooding' but I decided right away she needed to Face Her Fears. So, for the first few weeks, when I was home, she was in a baby front pack carried around or on a leash so she could not run and hide from me. She lived 14 years and was always timid and skittish but also such a sweet, dear, tiny little girl. She learned to love and trust a few special people. We still miss her.

Arnold had so much resistance to love...because he was betrayed and he is full of love...beautiful ending...♡
After what that dog has experienced he deserves the best life ever. Thank God for Terry
Happy for you arnold... ❤️😇 A loving forever home for you.
The end result is what's important, he has a home where he is loved.
Thank for blessing this precious angel with love and security.
I know I'm crying of happiness, but this story touched my soul... For a dog to be so scared of being touched by a human, I cannot imagine the abuse he must have gone thru!
I agree with this process.....dogs are unique in getting over trauma faster if they are made to face what scares them and realize they are not getting harmed. As they probably were in the past...
I cannot believe that anyone has the nerve to criticise your methods - HFP and everyone they work with are truly wonderful and you only have to look at sweet little Arnold to see how successful they are. Thank you SO VERY MUCH for all that you do, you are brilliant 💗

It is very understandable when you consider it from the viewpoint of the person watching. It does look cruel to those who do not understand that with such a high degree of fright, it is best to quickly work to calm the frightened one down quickly.

The people who automatically cry "cruelty" are the ones who are trying to convince other people they are animal lovers. But the problem is, they usually don't know what they're talking about, they don't take time to learn about things, and they don't understand the whole situation and don't bother to find out. They only want to fight about something. At least that's been my experience with them. When asked, they can't tell you anything other than "that's cruel". If you tell them to study something or find out the reasons or other underlying factors, they "don't have the time for that".
@Bloxeh

The term animal lover is used too much anyway. Most are, if at all, "pet lovers". One can not really be an animal lover while also eating animals - especially with so many cheap and nutritious alternatives around.

That is a crime someone scared him like that! Poor baby!
Arnold is a brave dog. I am proud of him. He will live happily ever ☺️. Good job guys
There's a difference between pushing a animal's boundries to allow them to overcome their fears and there mental trauma's. ... And pushing an animal past it's limits to make it go 'viral' on social media. People stressing out animals for the fun of it and not because it helps the animal in the end. Those are the people I will never respect. But I will infinitely respect and love the things you guys are doing. Don't let the people leaving negative comments on your socials get to you.
Oh my goodness. Yes. He deserved it all. The care, the love , being safe, also , mostly , he has his dignity back

Education is key! Flooding is absolutely necessary for pups like this and people just need to take the time to see that it is not hurtful to the dog, but so important for him to experience it so he will be able move on. Well done!! Little Arnold is the cutest :)

The couple who saved Arnold weren't experienced rescuers, so they did what they thought was best. They believed they were doing the right thing by giving Arnold time to de-stress, decompress, and get used to them by not touching him until he was ready. The important thing is that everyone did their part in getting Arnold to where he is today...the couple who caught him, Eldad and his team,Terri and her team, and his adopters. All those people taught Arnold that he has value, and that they were all willing to work hard to teach him to be a trusting, loving boy because his life has meaning and importance, and he deserves a loving forever home.
People leave mean comments out of ignorance. If they would just watch your techniques for a while, they would see that they work and the dogs get to that safe and happy feeling a lot faster. I have never seen anyone do as well with frightened dogs as Hope For Paws does.

I used flooding with my 18 month old rescue dog who is now a very happy & relaxed elderly dog. It enabled her to bond with me more quickly. I think it was kinder because there was one person she could rely on to help her overcome her many other terrors. She was an extreme case and I was warned by my vet about fear aggression - she is sweet natured and has never shown any aggression.
God bless Hope For Paws ♡

Some chihuahuas are that kind of timid by nature. I used to work with a lady who had two. The male took a week to get used to me. @@michaeltutty1540 But this owner that abandoned this dog wasn't doing everything right which does make me wonder what all they did wrong.
