Nice one Simon, I don’t think you could get a more eloquent explanation of the current situation than this. If you’re going to take a political stance, that’s fine, no one has a problem with that. Just keep it off the pitch, it’s supposed to be a place of sportsmanship, not protest.

Simon is the guy that can be difficult to like but great to listen too, but ultimately respect, he’s very opinionated but a lot of his opinions are well thought out, he presents them eloquently and clearly. It’s refreshing in a world where everyone is too scared to say what they think.
I was always on the fence about Jordan. Was he a bellend or a bit of a hero? I couldn’t decide. But this interview has swung it for me. He’s a smart smart guy with some really well informed opinions. I like what he had to say and respect him for not holding back. Moreover for articulating perfectly what many of us think.

Heaven forbid I should publicly agree with a Lasher, but you’re spot on. I always assumed he was smug, but it’s probably just confidence in his (clearly well-considered) opinions. Me too mate, been watching The Arsenal since 1957. Wouldn`t like to know how much I`ve spent travelling around this country and Europe following them. The soppy woke banners around the ground was one thing but when I saw the players take a knee for a criminal junkie animal like Floyd and pander to a bunch of Marxist Black supremacists, that was my lot. The captain even makes black power salutes before every game. I still want them to win but they wont get another penny out of me. Sickened by the them.

He used to own Crystal Palace, which is a shame really, Palace used to be a great team until the teams with the big bucks owners took over, unfortunately for most teams in the premier league and the lower leagues, they don’t have a look in, it’s roughly 5 or 6 teams sitting at the top and the rest haven’t a hope in hell, I wish Jimmy Hill hadn’t helped to remove the player wage cap, you’d have more teams competing for the title rather than a monopoly, as was evident recently in the “Breakaway League” where no one gets relegated. You can thank, Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool, Real Madrid and the like for that one.

Great guest and excellent points....from his experience.
To be honest, I'm glad to be a supporter of a small but traditional swiss football club. We have great president grown up here and the owners club is also local. Not a big budget, but stable, we spend what we can afford. We just make fun about the "british" clubs throwing money around.
I think Simon has touched on something when he talks about there being no answer to why there are no black football managers. I am on forums in my local area where people talk about minor crime - vandalism, petty theft etc etc. But no one will report it to the police. People just like to moan but wont do anything about it. A tree fell down just along the road from me a while ago, and most people's answer was to put something on the forum about it. I phoned the council on the Monday and they sent someone out to remove the tree. If I hadn't done something myself, nothing would have been done!! It maybe doesn't answer why there are no black managers, but it will confirm that they do like to moan about it. Am sure many teams would not care what colour their manager is, as a long as he (or she lol) won them the league!!!!!
