Thank you! 🥰 I really enjoy letting go of realism sometimes. Coloring becomes more fun for me that way and I actually really like unrealistic styles whenever I see them! Win win!

How fabulous! No more negative self-talk, instead….create around the “weakness” OR let this begin to inspire. I’m thinking….try some of your techniques and sometimes lightly shade over stamped “coloring” to get me going. 🥰 TY!

Got my Sizzix Big Shot from my daughter for Christmas. Haven’t opened it yet because December was a difficult month my Babes tested positive with Covid and was sent home from work. On the 8th of December was our 32nd Anniversary couldn’t celebrate it since he was in the spare room. Two days later ended up in the hospital by ambulance. He was doing so good we would FaceTime but then he passed on the 28th. Three days earlier my sister passed also after 18 days of being intubated. I’m still in shock. He was so fit and healthy and 52 years old. Hopefully soon I’ll get into the craft room that I was setting up after loosing my Mama a year ago. Loving all your tutorials, Blessings Girl! 🤩🤩🤩

These are really great ideas! Definitely some I want to try that I would never have thought of. I love the masked pot plant. I have been practicing coloring by doing the 100 day project and it helps, a little improvement every day. I also like stamping and embossing on patterned paper (sometimes just a simple watercolor wash) and then fussy cutting to piece an image together. It works well for simple shapes and big florals. A little shading can make the image pop.

I totally feel you on the spending freeze. I was on one for most of last year and those 9 or so months of not buying were totally fine once I got in the groove of it. It’s a fun experience to really stretch what you have.

Love all these techniques. I have a bunch of alcohol markers which I don’t use all that often for all the reasons you said. (Got them before they came out with the tri-blends!) but what great ideas to color without coloring!

Amazing how you think outside the box, and create amazing results. Thank you for sharing your “thinking techniques”. It helps me breaking out my box and color outside the lines. As usual your tutorial is very inspiring. And for the a-symmetrical stamps; you can create a stamp for every outline stamp, by stamping it on fun foam and fussy cut it out. Make your own layering stamp…
