I was bored and I wanted to change the scenery so I made up my mind to go shopping and I dropped my baby off at my mom's house that made me feel peace of mind, while I was walking in the mall I bumped into my old friend at the end of the day we had a lot of fun and that did me good. Thanks a lot 🌹

Thanks a lot for this amazing lesson. I propose some examples of sentences with those idioms I am sick of living in this apartment. I need a change of scenery. That will do me good to live in a big house with a beautiful garden. But, first of all, for my own peace of mind, I'd better go to the bank to analyze my financial situation. I have to bite the bullet if I want to pass this exam with flying colors. My mind went blank when the examiner asked me to explain the Pearl harbour's attack in 1941.

As an english native, this is very true. Though some people may frown on it with the words, but "Speak of the Devil" is kinda rude, but is often used as an idioms too but more towards just friends/someone who can take a joke you know. With a basic definition of "someone you were talking about suddenly appears." Speak of the Devil. "Maybe she's running late?" you tell your coworkers. Suddenly they appear. "Speak of the Devil." You would tell that person.

Playing soccer on weekends is a change of scenery to me since I work from home. Running during the whole match for exercise does me good. I raise several golden fish, giving me peace of mind when I feed and watch them. Doing the repetitive work is the last thing I want to do, I want to out of the comfortable zone to challenge my limit, but I have to bite the bullet and endure the difficult processes. I don't express my plans to others since I don't want to speak too soon.

"Biting the bullet" is said to have originated in the time before anesthesia, from the practice giving an injured person a bullet to bite on to help them endure the pain of treatment and also help the patient avoid biting their own tongue! So, if you're going to "bite the bullet," you're going to do something you REALLY aren't going to enjoy.

With kind regards, Ari.
