ABOUT US:
Welcome to our crazy life. We are a mom and dad that moved our two horse-crazy girls from the city to the country in 2020, right before Covid hit. So much has happened since then. We now live on a hobby farm with horses, goats, chickens, peacocks, guinea fowl, ducks, bunnies, a livestock guardian dog and house dogs that are adjusting to country living. We have undertaken many renovations (both inside and outside), love sharing tips on how to repurpose items or do things on a budget, and are always looking for the next DIY project. Would you ever consider leaving Duke with Dressage trainer under training board thru winter and have Kate lesson on him learning what they are teaching him?

Absolutely! Going back to basics with dressage has been the best thing. We love how much she is learning and it is going to make all the difference in her riding. It is incredible how they can spend a full hour tweaking little things and the amount of information she is taking in.

Thanks for subscribing! We really appreciate your support. We absolutely love Dressage and have really noticed a HUGE difference in how it is helping improve their riding skills. Our coach has just gone down to Florida for a couple of months because she has the possibility of competing for Team Canada in the Paralympics (if she can find a new horse who can make the trip to Paris). We are sad to not have her for lessons for the next two months but are so excited at the chance to cheer her on at the Paralympics! We are so incredibly proud of her and grateful we have the opportunity to learn from her. Stay tuned for more Dressage lessons.

Daybyday did a video about breaking down the cost of feeding their animals. She spend close to 10 grand per year on pet food,( which did not include the 4 dogs) which for a hobby farm sounds insane to me. Do you have a similar experience?.

That seems pretty reasonable to me! The cost of hay and grain is crazy right now. I’m also not sure if you’re from the US, Canada, or elsewhere, but I just looked it up and it is roughly $7,500 USD. I do not own a farm, but with just my one horse, I spend that for just board! I have taken my horse off of most grain, but if I didn’t, just grain would cost close to $4,000! Prices are crazy everywhere these days…😅

@sammi5025 she also never answered the actual question of how they afford it! I'm not sure why she used it as a title if she wasn't going to answer the question. She also spent 20,000 on saddles and is buying 2 horses. Her husband must be rich!. Since she retired when she 30. They also bought a farm. Not sure how the could afford it bc the only rented the other one. Average home in Ontario is a million.

I can’t hear you. No one else is having problems. Sigh. Keep the dressage. Done correctly, it is the foundation for everything else.
