    Awesome video! I started doing this before some compound lifts and immediately noticed greater connectivity with the movement and it takes a lot shorter time to feel warmed up with the movements!

    Just added the priming movements referenced for the major lifts to my 5x5 workout and noticed a HUGE difference in how my body was moving the weight, truly crazy how much of a difference 3 explosive reps can dramatically increase the effectiveness of the exercise ... I will be using these priming moves religiously! Thank you MindPump!

    Fantastic as usual guys. Having heard adams success with his mobility and progress through the year by focusing on this, I would be really interested in seeing a vid of his daily routine prior to training I.e. His mobility workout prior to any lifts. Really trying to focus on doing the same at the minute so any tips would be awesome!

    I did this before my bench lift today and my bench went up 5 lbs. The weight didn’t feel as heavy since I felt like my chest was firing more! Thanks for the great advice and I will try this on some of my other compound movements!

    Awesome video- thanks! I have 1 more question though - do you recommend doing the explosive part before every set of that particular exercise OR only as a part of the warm up sets (e.g. i usually do 2 warmup sets (50-60% 1RM) and then 3 ´normal´ sets - should i do the dynamic part 2x or 5x?) Thanks a lot!

    Are you guys saying to do the band warm-up in place of warming up on bent rows for instance with a light weight? Or that you will do both?

    so you don't do a warmup at all?or do you just do the priming exercise and go for it without a classic warmup? or do you warm up a little and then do the primer right before the set? and do you do it before each set? or just the first set?

  • @matthewsias7283

    This sounds good. I’m gonna give it a go. It’s good to learn the real science behind it and how to activate the CNS properly without just buying some hyped up pre workout supplement to get the CNS going.

  • @maristoldboys5466

    @maristoldboys5466

    Hell yeah. The supplement industry brainwashes the unwary into thinking pills and powders answer everything. When in reality we underestimate how the body's own internal systems including CNS, adrenal, hormonal/testosterone production is far superior.

    Chad Miller not exactly . Do you own PRIME yet ?

  • @lawrencebartos

    @lawrencebartos

    6 жыл бұрын

    Not quite. Its more like the old fluorescent light bulb that would flicker on/off until it warmed up enough to stay on. You're just priming the muscles enough for them to realize its time to work. Plyometric moves are meant to develop explosiveness. The banded rows are a perfect example those aren't plyometric but they do prime the muscle

    Hi, Sal. I think Aimee's question here (and obviously mine) is, whether you're supposed to do the primer for every set or is it ONLY at the beginning of your 4 sets of squats for example?

    The dude in the hat doesnt have much explosiveness as he gets like 15 inches verticle jump but more importantly he has a major butt wink at the bottom of his squat. Meaning he rounds his lower back in bottom 10 % range of motion. It might never be a problem squatting less than bodyweight lifts but will definiteky cause problems with maximal 2x 2.5 x bodyweight lifts. Probly has tight hams and calves . work on mobility or dont squat that deep. I use a cambered bar to squat and wider stance to cure my butt wink
