The whole Hapsburg thing is so hilarious on its own; The Hapsburg Dynasty basically made their name by marrying every single noble that moved in Western Europe, so much so that they eventually had to start marrying each other. By the 18th century, with the death of Charles II of Spain, most of the Dynasty had effectively been rendered sterile.

She was accused and brought to trial by the Hungarian courts for torturing and killing hundreds of women and girls. Among the known legends about her was that she consumed the flesh of her victims and bathed in the blood of virgin women she killed giving rise to early rumors of her being a vampire.

I am fairly certain this one is entirely concocted as a version of a comedian inside joke by the same name taken to the extreme. The general setup of this story joke? A family of four go to a talent agent pitching a theatre act to him. The agent, intrigued, asks them to demonstrate their act to him This part is where the comedian tries to come up with the most obscene and debaucherous stuff they can imagine the family doing when they finish, the agent, horrified, asks what they call the act. The family poses and goes "The Aristocrats!" bear in mind this is supposedly an inside one done between comedians as a warm up.

If I'm not mistaken, this is simply based off of that noble family mentioned in the SCP article, they are rather infamous for their severe inbreeding. This SCP is basically "what if inbreeding but the mutations made them superhuman instead of frail."

Kinda reminds me of that story of the Scottish clan that went feral and cannibal living out of a cliffside cave. It's a real life story that inspired a lot of cannibal fiction like The Hills Have Eyes and Wrong Turn (although the name of the clan is escaping me right now). I think we all assumed the witch was wicked, but considering she wanted to eradicate the monarchy and give the people their wealth, she turned out to be pretty cool.

While I agree that this is quite messed up, at least it's not Warhammer 40K's "Daemonculaba." Also, i think Alicia would really like the Patchwork Bear SCP (The kind one, not the one made out of flesh.)

This SCP is an inside joke. For anybody who doesn't know "The Aristocrats" is the name of a storytelling game among comedians. The story follows a standard format until describing a stage act, with the teller putting in their own original description of the most horrible and morally objectionable performance they can imagine, and ends with "What do you call your act?" "The Aristocrats!" Ideally, every time you tell the joke you need to change the description of the act. Gilbert Godfried and Bob Sagat were considered masters of the joke. So this SCP follows the shape of the joke. Normal format, almost boring, then getting, bad, worse, even worse, and OMFG-how-did-they-write-this, then topping it off with "The Aristocrats!"

Its the Aristocrats joke right? Based on that anyways, where standup Comedians and others like Gilbert Gottfried do where they try to one up one another in literally every single possible way... looool Pretty darned funny gallows humor/dark humor

The Hapsburg family in real life regularly practiced marriage to close family members (cousins, uncle-niece, ect.) as a direct result, they were known to have several genetic deformities. The Spanish line of the family was particularly well known for inbreeding, 80% of the Spanish Hapsburgs married a family member for over 300 years. This SCP author turns that up to eleven to create their monsters.

So, funny fact, every condition seen in this comes from reports of the inbreeding caused mutations seen within the European nobles during the height of the whole “keep the line pure” issue. Not generally seen all together, and there were others that were not added into this scp, but yeah, thats what it was based off of.

SCP-1230 A hero is born, is a good scp to follow after this its a little sad but kinda wholesome in the end, its one of the rare scp's that want to help people. SCP 2137 Forensic ghost of tupac shakur is also a good choice its pretty entertaining and another scp that actively wants to help humanity. Also reccomend SCP 811- The swamp woman its so good

Hey Alicia if you're still looking for SCPs to look at I'd love to recommend SCP-6233. A podcast called SCP archives did that one, and I'd love to see more people reacting to it!

I am once again recommending Alicia to look into SCP-1730 "What happened to site 13?" for a more narrative focused scp article with a bunch of cameos from other scp's and concepts from the scp-verse, it's pretty neat.

Just came here to recommend some more interesting SCPs- ones that really delve into morals in my opinion. SCP-053 and SCP-054 are very interesting. A few other popular SCPs include SCPs-173, SCP-2273, SCP-354, SCP-1337, SCP-049, SCP-035, SCP-056, and SCP-2701. I would recommend checking out any of these.
