Well done Jonni! I’ve lifted since 1987, no advanced lifter and not chasing gainz and removing some volume from the lifts and slowing down - your tips are helpful (as compared to a certain Athlean X where I hated them immediately). Appreciate it!

If you bottom out the smith machine try standing on blocks so you can get a full stretch and constant tension
What little changes would you make for a smith machine that has a slight angle?
Does the same rules apply to the Smith Machine that isn’t 90°? Some are on a slight inline.

more stability and can be safer
Lower your gaze to the floor unless a gym mommy walks by and then all said plans are out the window.😊
Doing t bar rows aches my lower back, how to stop that?

Either using too much weight or need to focus on strengthening lower back, core, glutes and hamstrings. You need to stabilise your self when lowering like keep core tight during the workout.

@@adammac4960 thanks, the weight is fine I think, the strengthening must be the problem I rarely do Glutes, core and lower back
My arms are too damn long to get a good stretch with the smith machine :'(

You could use a step bench (if your gym has one), or plates to elevate yourself. Just make sure they're stable 😉

@@northwestclasspnw7974yeah bro. I rather smith. That junk saves you the trouble of many injuries, when properly used. End up hurting yourself trying to be all macho man with your lifts and then end up making that your last lift for awhile lol
