I don't think that this is the optimal way to do a bend over row. Look at the range of motion at the elbows.

Wouldn't your traps be doing a lot of the work if you don't stay bent over?

RLprod Its hard to argue with a guy this big but sometimes I'm pretty sure they lie to us. So they can laugh when they see us in the gym doing this weird ass row, on a Smith machine, and a belt on...

Maybe a little, but the deadlift part hits the lower back and then the row as he squeezes the shoulder blades together hits the rest of the back.
