Boxwoodgreen……How would you like them to pay? With money, how much, who sets the amount? Would you like them in prison? Do they get a trial? How long should they pay? How many should be punished? Please be sensible as these people probably thought they were doing a good job. As a person who was sa when I was a child, it is the victims job to try to get past it and move on. I doubt the victim wants others involved in the case punished. I hope she has moved on and is doing well. I hope she can forget it.

My entire family has submitted DNA samples to Ancestry, Gedmatch, etc. Genetic genealogy is quite the fun pastime. You might be surprised to see who you are related to. If the authorities can use my family's DNA samples to catch someone like this guy, go for it full bore. I know exactly how they go about it, as it is the same way one would go about trying to find out who their birth parents were. I have seen multiple cases where people have determined the identities of their birth parents using the exact same techniques the authorities are using to find these child killers and the like. It is not that difficult to do, provided there is a sample available for a close enough relative of the perp. If the perp had a second cousin test his/her DNA whom the perp does not even know exists, he will be found. And no, they don't even have to talk to that 2nd cousin to figure it out.

beth98362 There is absolutely no way I mean this to be controversial . This is an unspeakable crime . The thing I cannot get away from , is the person/people who must perform the actions to end that life . Can I ask that of another person ? I could not be an executioner , though If push came to shove I could most definitely take part in keeping such a foul person away from all society until his death . It would be great if a death sentence came with a lightening bolt and no human hand was needed . Again not meaning any negativity to other points of view , my belief is that there is ultimate judgement . This is a huge subject and probably nothing can be achieved with any sort of discussion. However I do know this . When my ( then 16 year old ) son was viciously attacked by a knife wielding mugger and was in intensive care , I still felt it was ultimately better that he be the mugged than the mugger . ( He regained full health by the way ). Many aspects of life are impossible for us to truly understand . My belief that God will sort us all out in the next phase of our eternal life , certainly is a help in bearing the multitudes of large and small injustices we constantly encounter .

I find it astounding and exasperating that they’d destroy records that could provide evidence for cold cases. If a perpetrator gets tracked down and is STILL ALIVE, the evidence needed to convict him is gone. Not all cases present DNA evidence and if the other evidence is gone, the criminal gets away with it.

There's just as much of a chance that he faced Buddha after he died lol there's just as much actual physical EVIDENCE for that as there is your particular, "God," to be real. Waiting in the clouds to punish rapists and send them to "Hell," because it makes the Christian population on Earth feel better. (But turning his back to the parents and loved ones of the girls who DON'T survive, while their rapists and murderers get away with it for the rest of their lives.) And, "God" forbid you DON'T pray for their safe return! With your "God" people have to actually actively BEG him for help, if you want a positive outcome, right?! "We just kept on praying, and sure enough, God heard our prayers!" Sounds EXTRA ridiculous to the families of the victims who NEVER saw them alive again! Because it's probably safe to say that THEY prayed just as much as anyone else would!! The contemporary Roman Catholic version of Religion is directly responsible for more death oppression and human suffering than all the plagues and worldwide epidemics and pandemics throughout history COMBINED. ENTIRE cultures have been wiped out in the name of your "God." If he IS actually real, I would STILL not pledge my love or allegiance because he is the most evil and destructive force mankind has ever experienced.

So when you paid these DNA web sites, you are inadvertently convicting your own relatives! Your wife can't testify against you, but your ancestors blood can!lol Ever see the movie "Brazil"? Lol Weird stuff! #Whoops

Im keen to enter my DNA into the system. Not to find relatives or heritage. Solely so that if any mf im related to has ever raped or murdered someone, that my DNA helps track them down.

If any of my relatives committed any horrible crime like this then I hope they get caught and I have freely given my DNA and put it in the data base. I have nothing to hide. Brazil is just that a movie it isn’t real and it isn’t scientifically feasible at this time, if that’s what you’re afraid of then rest easy.

@Gemma Saint LOL, lower-class, as well as MANY middle-class Britons have appallingly poor grammar & diction, and low educational levels, as well, however, unlike Americans, the British DON'T have around 400 years of separation, along with centuries of diverse & direct language, ethnic, & culture blending, in addition, obviously, to having a comparatively HUGE & historically, overwhelmingly, immigrant population, that's partially, at the very least, a justifiable EXCUSE that you Brits don't HAVE...you delusionally superior & self important, hateful, ignorant, B*tch.. 🇺🇸🖕😀🖕🇱🇷 We WON!
