If you're into the mirror look on most of your edges the best stones I've tried so far are bonded diamond or bonded cbn matrix stones. Can't beat diamond plates for reprofiling and apexing tho. And atoma are the best plates I've tried, cut like crazy and great for my user knives.

did you sharp it dry or with water?
I have the DMT whet stones in the wooden box. Three medium sized stones. They work fantastic. For the mirror edge i use the Spyderco UF ceramic stone. Love it. And of course a leather strop. Thanks for the great video!

@@thepracticalblade9013 I would like to hear your opinion. For me it's a fantastic stone. Only downside it collects metal dust soon. But easy to clean with a eraser. If you don't drop it, it will last forever i guess

@@jensebu78i have the double stuff Spyderco 303MF, Medium and Fine that is my prefered up to now and it would be great if they create a double stuff 303CUF with Coarse and Ultra Fine. Unfortunatly it doesn’t exist. Maybe I will buy the UF from Jende or the Coarse and the Extra-Extra-Fine (8000) from DMT.

I have exclusively used these since getting them and they still cut well. The trick to keeping any set of stones cutting for as long as possible is to always use the appropriately aggressive grit. Don't spend a half hour on a grit that is too high (and wearing out the stone) to do the work a lower grit stone could do in 5 minutes.

How do you like these compared to continuous Dmt stones that don’t have the polkadot holes?
