Easy fix for the sealing part is just put some heat shrink on it. Can get you some for less than 10 bucks that's marine grade. I would also get a LED silicone spray that you could spray before using the shrink on it. Great video! Thanks.

Made one for myself but just realized ip65 were not submersible. Did they hold up on your end?
Was thinking, if the light is water proof, why do you need to seal the tub at all? Is it for the wire connections? I suppose you could silicone over the shrink tubing to make that water tight ... just a thought.
What did you use for the float?
Is that a 1.5" pvc?
a lighter can be used to strip wires
