I like it that even though you go very cheap, you still try to make it nice by laminating the base.

A very nice idea! So simple to make and so very useful! I would have used the same color clips for aesthetics, but that's just a very minor thing. If I had to make it even easier, I would use a single, longer wire, with a clip at each end, and I would loop it in a reversed V shape around the screw, under the washer... In that way, I could skip some of the soldering, and additionally, I could swap longer or shorter wires with different clip types or larger wire gauge (for strength) as easily as turning the screw. A knob on the screw head would make that even easier!

Nice! I have one of those cheap ones with the magnifying glass and often it is more trouble to adjust the clips than it is worth. This looks like it's much more useful.

The only problem I can see in this is that the hands can create a circuit since they're connected completely with metal. Still a novice, though, so I don't know if that's truly a concern when soldering electronics. It might have been better to just screw them individually into opposite corners, or screw all four into each corner. It's a nice idea that can be simplified further.

Hey there @Just4 Electronics! I am going to feature your video, thumbnail image and the link to your video, in an upcoming video on my channel for how to solder wires on dumpster finds. I mentioned that you can make your own helping hands which is why I am including your video as well as another that popped up on a google search. I hope this is ok with you as it will drive views (and hopefully some subs!) to your channel! 😊
