DIY Good or Evil Dress - School for Good and Evil Inspired - With Pattern

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hello Everyone,
In this video I will be sharing my process for creating two dresses, both inspired by Netflix's School for Good and Evil. One dress is 'Good' and the other is 'Evil. Both dresses are made using the same pattern which can be found in my Etsy shop.
Pattern: www.etsy.com/de-en/KittyJBerr...
My 'Good' Dress inspired by the over the top princess dresses that Agatha and Beatrix wore. My Evil Dress is inspired by the edgy and goth outfits that Sophie and Hester wore.
After watching School for Good and Evil I could not decide if I'd rather make an Evil dress or a Good dress. I wanted to create a dress pattern that took elements from my favorite looks and could be used to create either a good or evil dress just based on materials chosen.
I am happy with the way these final dresses turned out, but I would like to return to the pattern and experiment a little more. I wanted to challenge myself and only use materials I already had on hand. I think it was a great way to stash bust for the New Year, but sometimes it was a little limiting!
To complete the look I wore a petticoat beneath my dresses for a little extra volume.
If you like these dresses and want to make a dress like this for yourself please visit my Etsy Shop. You can find the downloadable PDF pattern in my Etsy Shop, KittyJBerry.

If you do give this pattern a go, I would love to see your finished project! Please tag me on Instagram, or TikTok - KittyJBerry :) It always makes my day to see your creativity!
I also want to thank everyone who has watched my previous KZread Videos, and everyone who has shopped my Etsy. Thanks for sticking with me!
Materials:
This dress requires 5.5 meters of fabric. I recommend purchasing an additional 1/2 meter of fabric if you wish to make a lining. Both my dresses were squeezed out of 5.5 meters of fabric, but I think the additional 1/2 meter would be beneficial.
Matching thread
A 60 cm zipper.
3.5 meters of rigilene boning
Additionally for my Good dress I used:
1 meter or white cotton as interlining for the bodice
11 meters of floral ribbon trim
about 20 meters of pink eyelet
Additionally for my Evil dress I used:
1 rose iron on patch
5 meters of 3cm wide lace
12 meters of 1cm wide lace
2 meters of ribbon for the Evil Dress.
You may also want to consider purchasing a hook and eye for the top of the zipper, and chalk.

Hi, I'm sorry I don't know exactly what part you want to make wider? Do you mean the skirt, or the sleeves? You can always try the slash and spread method to add more volume to the skirt, and then add a bum pad or pannier underneath to really give it some poof.
