Congratulations, Tom. Your work is impressive as usual. I like seeing another plan for an informal elevator, something too few attempt. Will be watching for how you plan to child-proof it, since it poses real risk for little ones who like to explore and play with anything that is a "ride."

if you want to keep the noise of the air compressors to a minimum build a little addition with slope roof on to the side and put a little door either 5 foot lift door or standard and put it in there. makes a great space saver for tools you don't use often also.

Thanks for reaching out Dick, I do not actually have plans aside from what I drew on a sticky note material wise and some math for the pitch of the roof I needed to achieve the loft but support the snow load.
