If you disagree, then send me some super thank so I can buy a legit one 🇺🇸 A trim edge was used on the bed hole, I’m aware I said mic while showing you the measurements with a dial caliper(guess you didn’t want to see the size), tank straps and NC solenoid valve on the way as this is a prototype. Why are you so mad bro. You need more bunghole in your life.

Honestly I would just keep the same auxiliary set up that you have created. I’m a master diesel technician and almost every time I see a diesel truck with the metal or aluminum auxiliary tanks in the rear they are contaminated (9x out 10).and they are in my shop with a fuel related concern. Those after market auxiliary tanks do nothing but destroy fuel system. You may also might look into running a fuel filter/water separator for that auxiliary tank, to clean that fuel before it makes it to the main tank. I would also be checking that auxiliary tank for water contamination as much as you can. fuel systems are $$$$. I think what you are doing is a great alternative just giving you a heads up on the issues I see in the field!

To be fair, solid work with only two recommendations personally. 1) Attach a rubber gasket or firewall grommet around the where it goes through the bed, so friction from vibration or movement doesn’t rub a hole or weak spot into the pipe when movement is happening - I just saw your comment that you’ve done this. 2) Please attach it with something slightly less explody than ratchet straps. Possibly weld a cage for the tank so it doesn’t become a 60mph firebomb in an accident 😅 I respect the low cost range addition, nice work!

So i capped the drain and put the fuel pump that was on it to a toggle switch and that fixed the issues, just have to flip it on for like 5 minutes going down the road here and there, works great now. You may have done it already, but I would’ve drilled that hole in the side of the bed a bit larger in order to install a grommet first. That will prevent your line from chafing on the sharp metal edges. Also, will help the paint stay longer for better corrosion protection. Also, I would’ve built something to support it/ sit it in. That’s a great idea compared to the alternative. Much cheaper I would imagine. Just one more step in the process to make it look nicer, and secure. Don’t want 50 gallons of fuel flying in an emergency situation.

Had an 81 GMC. I'm still swearing about that valve. It was exceptionally expensive for what it did. I ended up just adding a straight line from both tanks. The funny part is that it would pull from one of the tanks faster than the other, but if I stopped somewhere, they'd level off when I got back in. It almost behaved like it was refueling by itself. Haha I think they wanted like 700 bucks for that stupid valve.

Even if you did run a higher compression or thicker wall gas line. I can't remember what the o-ring is called but it goes over and over and around a jagged edge.
