I just finished this installation on my 2016 F250 and am very happy with it! The hardest part of the installation is unhooking the two fuel lines. For me the blue came right off with no problem. The yellow one was next to impossible because when you lower the tank, it puts it in a bind, and it won’t come unhooked. I was finally able to raise the tank up and get to it and unhook it. My other recommendation is to do your research on the body mount bolt. It’s not as easy as they make it look in the video. If it’s never been unscrewed, you need to heat the bolt to release the glue on it so you can unscrew it. Whatever you do, do not use any sort of power tool on it. Finally, you can re-program the computer to recognize a 50 gallon tank. You just need a windows, computer and an OBD cable…I happened to have one. You can download FORSCAN and get a free 2 week use of it and it takes like 2 minutes to change the DTE gallons…good instructions online with a google search!

Just did this to my truck. Can confirm, this video was 7 hours before editing for removing curse words.

Was he able to reinstall the skid plates? I have an 80-gallon aux tank but driving across the country every drop helps. Just not at the cost of my skid plates.

Does this tank hang down below the bottom of the cab? Will it fit a 6 1/2 super crew?

Will this work on an extended cab short bed?

Why don't you have anything for late model Ford long bed gas burners?

Was the DEF tank removed?

Are these available for the gasoline f250?

Will this tank work with traction bars?

Will these work same 2016 f450?

Does this lower your ground clearance?

I would expect new heavy duty tank straps because of the heavier fuel tank.

Appears the installer has not learned the safety glasses lesson.

The lines connected to the sending unit do not just pop off as shown here.. 😕

Can you please tell me how the connections come apart? What do you have to push or squeeze to release them

You can tell that he broke those connectors when he pulled them because he didn’t know how to take them off. The lock is a two piece pressure quick connector. It’s a 4 step process to remove the connectors: 1. Pull the small tab out - this unlocks it. 2. Push the large piece in. 3. Push down or into the tank on the connector. Keep lock depressed in. 4. Then pull the connector off while lock is depressed.

I'm looking to replace a 40 gallon Gasoline tank in a 2013 F-550 SD V-10 Flatbed long Frame But Everyone only shows the plastic tanks for Diesel Only Do You Carry This Tank Or Can You Tell me where to get one & why I cant use the Plastic or Can I Use the 50 Gallon Tank?
