This is a DIY video on how to fix the P026A code for secondary coolant system leak on your 2011 2012 2013 2014 2015 2016 F250 F350 F450 power stroke diesel engine. This intercooler leak or completely failed part is the most common issue on 6.7 F250’s especially if you have a tuned truck. I bought the replacement from eBay as it mimicked the mishimoto style air to water intercooler and it was half the price! We replaced it with a Mishimoto style intercooler from eBay in order to fix this air to water in a cooler leak. This is also a great 6.7 powerstroke intercooler upgrade for performance or tuned diesel trucks.
Another great thing to get upgraded on these trucks is the intercooler hose piping and they sell all types of good eBay kits. I plan on upgrading more of my F250 soon.
These sellers keep doubling prices so definitely comment with a new link if you find the same style for cheaper so I can add it here. The price is usually between $600 - $800 for this style on eBay.

Link is in the description for the intercooler I bought. The original seller I bought from doubled their prices, so I added two other seller's links. Please let me know if the seller's raise their prices or if you find a cheaper seller of this same style. Drop the link and I will add it. I would avoid paying more than $800 for these as the sellers raise and drop prices regularly.
I don't even like big trucks, but I enjoy watching you enjoy fixing yours. You've spent years learning your way around engine repairs, and you make it look easy. Kudos.

Thats because 1/3 or half of the ages that work on these things. Our knees and backs don’t like to bend like they used to.

I have the exact same issue. Have coolant come out through that tube and have a slight engine vibration at heavy throttle. Only loses coolant when towing heavy. May have to replace

Yup that tells me you have the same issue. I replaced all of my cool and seals before buying a new cooler.
I showed this to Fiona, and she goes, “Daddy!” Lol I said that’s Uncle Tom! Lol

I am curious as to how many miles you have put on the intercooler since installing. Currently in the same scenario with need to replacing leaking factory cooler and was concern of the longevity of the intercooler.
Good video man, how much coolant do you figure I’d lose if I didn’t drain any? (Just out here trying to find shortcuts lol)

I drained about 3 quarts and that was the least amount I could drain to complete this job

Non! No more low coolant problems. Definitely recommend.

Great! What you will find when you search Alibaba is the only company that actually makes their own intercooler is mishimoto. All these other “companies” are just drop shipping you the same parts from Alibaba.com and having the manufacturer brand them with their company name. What I like about this Chinese supplier is they have remanufactured the mishimoto design which makes it plug and play.
