The ending was very telling about his sense of self-worth. The only thing he values is what other people think of him. It's not even about the things he has. He looked so conflicted when the Judge read those texts. He probably felt vulnerable and scared that the truth was coming out. But all his mind was telling him to do was "lie some more."

He's a habitual liar! He's told the plaintiff many times he was going to pay her back, & never had. Now he's trying to pull the wool over the Judge's eyes. I can hardly wait until the end!

They wear expensive clothes and jewelry, drive fancy cars, eat and drink and high-end restaurants, take exotic vacations...but most of the time they can't afford to pay their rent on time, their cars are on empty, and they are eating boxed noodles from the Dollar Store.

Young love .....I was in my 20s once, and had to learn this same lesson the hard way (sort of - I just gave him a really expensive gift - and it was a gift, but don't give someone you've been dating for six months a $1000 gift!).....my lesson - Don't date someone who is bad with money (addiction issues)..... Young Women - I get it. (hormones - I finally went through menopause and I look back feeling - Yikes! I wanted ~that~ behind closed doors????? So I get it and I can't stop y'all from learning from your own mistakes. Please try to be wise. No male is worth the hassle! Ever! And a good man is very hard to find. I found one and he died in 2008. That's huge shoes to fill.

It seems most young women these days go for the bad boys, and when they've been used and abused by bad boys and they finally grow up and learn that bad boy means an immature male who is a bad person, then they finally start looking for the opposite: a good man. Problem is, by that time the good men their age are already taken, and if they're not, they're not interested in a middle-aged bad girl with three kids who have three different dead-beat "bad boy" dads. They want a good woman.
