Dispersed Camping near Vegas | Lovell Canyon Campground
This week we leave town for a quick overnighter to escape the heat! Lovell Canyon road in the Spring Mountain area is one of our go to spots in the summer! Higher elevations mean cooler temps and there are a ton of options for dispersed/free camping out here. I did some Google satellite searches and found the Lovell Canyon Campground area (big space, lots of spots, has cell service and isnt too far of a drive down Lovell Canyon road)! Even though this area is listed as a Campground, note there are NO amenities out here (bathrooms, water, garbage, etc) so pack out everything you bring in! Always leave campsites better than you find them (luckily this area was very well maintained for any future guests) :)
We had a relaxed time at camp with EVERYTHING setup (table, rug, chairs, firepit, Readylight gen2 and all!) on our 2012 Nissan Frontier with the GFC V2 camper @GFC

That was one of the reasons why we ended up moving to Vegas! The proximity to public lands with different elevations so you have somewhere to go camp year round within an hour drive. Thanks for watching man!

Hi! I found this video because I'm taking my 8 and 12 year olds camping for their first time this weekend at Lovell Canyon. I have a question for you...what are the creepiest noises we can expect to hear and what creatures cause them? I want to be prepared so I can act tough and have answers if we hear noises in the night, lol!

And honestly there isn’t much out there that I’ve ever seen or heard lol specifically that area we’ve never run into anything and with the amount of campers that come through there esp in these dispersed areas animals don’t hang around so you should be good, just remember there isn’t anything big that can get y’all :) Safe travels out there and have a great time!

This area is usually under burn bans which is why we primarily use propane fire pits, thanks for watching!
