Exploring Mount Charleston for the BEST Camping Spots

This week we do some recon around the Mt Charleston area in search for the BEST (free, dry/dispersed, boondocking) camping spots in the area! There are a ton of Forrest Service roads in the Mount Charleston area and after staring at maps and images of the terrain, seeing different roads that veer off the main roads, I decided it was time to get out and explore!
I'm sure this list is NOT everything (there are a lot) but I hope this provides you with some future destinations in mind for your next camping trip!
It is pretty cold out right now (as of Jan 2020) BUT these spots will be perfect in the HOT summer months when Vegas gets to 100+ degres and you need a break! Especially as you get up in elevation, it gets much cooler up there so these are going to be perfect to escape the heat! You can also use these spots for any winter camping if your into that :)

Thanks for the video. Have you ventured out to Willow Beach yet? It's about an hour southeast of Las Vegas, past Hoover Dam and in Arizona off Hwy 93. It is pretty nice and has campgrounds and is on the Colorado River. Also, a little further down and on the left, about 18 miles off 93 is Temple Bar Marina. Has a motel, general store and Bar and is up off off of the Colorado as well. Very friendly hosts.

2:57 I've been interested in exploring that road, but there's a deep rut perpendicular to the road now, just a short distance from where the road starts. It's too narrow to drive down and up and over. You'd wind up with the nose of your vehicle stuck at the bottom with the rear wheels up in the air. It actually seems like someone dug it out to keep vehicles off of the road, I've been tempted to go out there with a pick and shovel and lengthen it and even it out so it's a gentle dip in the road.
