Exploring Lake Mead for the BEST Camping & Fishing Spots

This week we do some recon!
We hit the backroads of Lake Mead National Recreation Area in Nevada to find the BEST camping spots available on North Shore Road within the Lake Mead area. Lake mead is only 15 minutes away from Henderson NV and you have to pay to enter the park - $20 for a day pass or get in for FREE using the America the Beautiful pass - this has already paid for itself with the amount of times we visit the park :)
I go over the pros and cons of each area we find -
Government Wash Rd (Good to camp AND fish, lots of open area and options to camp and fish from shore)
- Crawdad Cove (Good to camp and do a bit of fishing but its muddy)
- Callville Bay (Bust - most things were closed, no good access to the water but there was a campground available for $20 a night)
- Red Stone (not a camping or fishing spot but an awesome area for a day picnic - looks like your on Mars!)
- Echo Bay (Awesome spot, will definitely be camping and fishing here in the future) 36.308843, -114.404776
- Stewarts Point (Good spot, lots of space to camp, easy access to the water, I'll be camping and fishing this area in the future!) 36.366564, -114.394942
- St Thomas Ghost Town (not a camping or fishing spot, just a hike to see the Ghost Town)

Great Video, just what I was looking for Campsites at Lake mead by the water, that are roads that do not require extra clearance. Look forward to more videos like this. Just finished a Camping Trip for NY at Boulder Beach Campsite. I went there before in the Summer and the heat was unbearable. Winter not bad compared to Redrock and Lovell canyon which predicted snow. Down side the Albertsons (In Boulder City) did not always have wood for fire. Which is disappointing on a winter eve. If I come again in winter, I will buy all my wood in one go. Happy New year.

Nice! Was it cold out there at Boulder Beach for NY? Summertime gets really hot at Lake mead, I camped out there once (at the END of summer) and said never again unless its under 95 LOL Lovell Canyon is where we camped to get away from the heat, also check out Deer Creek Rd off Mt Charleston, also a good spot to get out when its HOT! I usually go to Ace Hardware (Off Stephanie and 215) they usually have firewood or hit up Facebook marketplace the have a few folks who always have wood for sale and you can get it by the barrel vs the tiny bundles you get from the store which saves you some money :) Thanks for watching! Happy new year!

Oh, Great. Thank you for the Tips. Yes Boulder beach was cold some evenings more than others. To be outside, in the evening till about 8pm when it just got too much about 35 - 40 degrees and unless you are moving, unpleasant, No Fire 🔥 no deal forget it. On NY eve I burned close to 2 packets of wood, and stayed out till 11pm .. As did most. 98% of the spots were taken up by snowbirds who ran generators even during the day and would not ever have seen how beautiful the desert night can be. On the other hand the whole day time perfect temperature and sunny up to 61f Beautiful. I am looking forward to checking out other camps at Lake mead, I have done Government wash a couple times but want to find another place to camp. Thank you for your inspiring videos.

Try making the Canton this way. Next time, boil the noodles and strain. Keep about 1oz of the noodle water. In your bowl, mix the powder pack with the garlic/sauce pack- make a paste. Add the strained noodles and mix. Add a touch of the water- as needed- to form a "sauce" on your noodles. It'll change your world!! 😉
