Discover The White Wines of Burgundy
Chardonnay is the white grape of Burgundy and this moderate growing region of France is where you find some of it's greatest expressions. Names like Montrachet, Chablis and Pouilly-Fuissé. This is the region where the chardonnay grape developed and today it's made in a range of styles. From bone-dry wines with minerality and acidity to full-bodied wines with complex tropical fruit, citrus and spice. In this program, discover the white wines of Burgundy.

I'm not disrespecting Chardonnay from California, Australia, South Africa or wherever , but Burgundy is one of a kind, nothing compares to that

The terroir is all. My ex-boss could nail a terroir by taste alone. Unbelievable.

I am enjoying all of the LCBO videos. Informative and well produced. Unfortunately, the more I learn, the more I realize how little I am likely to ever know. Enjoyable none the less!
To think the host Michael Fagan has managed to get his life together in such a big way is great. Going from breaking into Buckingham Palace to hosting all these great wine shows is amazing!

Thats hilarious!
Just found this video, the first of the LCBO series that I’ve watched and what a treasure trove. Very informative, inspiring and appetising. Can’t wait to watch more.
Truly I really appreciate everything else and I’m grateful for being able to enjoy it! Truly thank you and I apologize for expressing negatively in regards to the choice of music.

A wonderful program - takes me straight back to Beaune. Thankyou!
Tack för ett bra program! / Thankyou for a great discovery program!
Absolutely stunning, as a amateur winemaker for 3.5 years now, I appreciate more of where I would like to be in 5 years with my own craft that I am producing. These videos are above and beyond spectacular. Thank you.

Great video!
Sometimes a wine from an intemperate climate can be bitter and the bitterness just never goes away. Trying alternate vines in better climates can help.

la vins et ne pa?
It's a great video, just one small thing:as I know there's only one grand Cru in Chablis but 7 climats (terroir) not as the video mentioned 7 grand crus...

there are 7 different grand cru vineyards but they are called just a Grand Cru together only in Chablis
Excellent Program. Takea look at TLTV (Wine Tasting)

The color filter is destroying burgundy and my iris
I always want the guy that understands ........ wine ...... with out that no passion is felt ........
Just went thru the comments and seriously nobody else has an issue with that new years guitar sounding like bjork and two cats fighting in a back alley over some rotting fish bones. Eeeesh
4:11 le moinage - except for the little California vines (and nearly all our ancient white oak forests) helped save your ancient vineyards...
9:28 WTH
Fuckin killer video
Why are they claiming that the whites of Burgundy are only based on Chardonnay? How about say, Aligoté and the Sauvignons of Saint-Bris?

Village or Table Vin?
Holy grape, what's with the loud music? Loved how this documentary started, the explanation of the different areas of vineyards and the details of the soil where they're grown, also the cute Canadian voice. Sadly can't continue watching this with my ear problems, the sound mix is seriously out of control :(
Great presentation, not so good music, and overbearing too!
Nice video but dial down the music... ruined the experience. The rock music for Chablis?!? What drugs are you on?
Man, they harvest grapes while smoking weeds

a lighter sauv blanc or heineken is better with weed or perhaps Champagne
My wine appreciation teacher makes me watch these shitty videos. BTW what the hell were they thinking adding that rock instrumental?
On the whole a good video. The author does follow the official ranking a bit too much I think. There is many a premier cru that cannot compete with a village Meursault for example. The producer is often more important than the vineyard. I'd rather have a Meursault from Comtes Lafon, for example, than a premier cru from a bad producer. The "Mozart" music in the beginning of the video is awful by the way. Please play some good Mozart, or something American if you want.
has anybody told the french they have a massive magnesium deficiency problem in their vineyards?

Good lord what a terrible choice of music. Nails on a chalk board with the guitar screaming bloody murder. Awful but everything else is awesome!! Really appreciate it thank you!!!
nice - I live in france the wines from regions seems to compliment local food recipes more than most countries - the climate and soil in france has quite a range from alps to southern coast - few places do that maybe italy - also noted some younger wine producers here working on organic vineyards even champagnes no chemicals no additives - usually small vineyards but tried some exceptional unknown wines that might be classics in twenty years
