I love this. The Art of driving a Motorcyle. It is like living in society. You meet all people on the road and the question is> Can you fit into this driving society, showing discipline, manners, firmness, safety........just like in life and work. Been motorcycling since 1970, like your Vids Leanna .My examiner told me after my test, Well done Now you will start to learn to Ride. He was very true. Got caught for speeding in the first year, got a caution, for it. That taught me a lesson, Its not worth speeding. That made me a better rider, and car driver. Keep to the speed limit. But most of all Look ahead Not just whats infront of you. And keep your distance, keep to the speed limit, let the idiots pass. No road rage we all make mistakes, LET IT GO...... SAY SORRY and move on

Great videos you do. I'm on a cbt needing to unfortunately repeat it. Can't get my mod 1 because I am disabled with mobility issues. I can't do the manual handling exercise so I'm snookered. Wish I had an instructor like you. You seem so calm with a nice sense of humour. Mine shouts and is aggressive, stands there and smokes a lot and spends a lot of time looking at his phone. During my cbt for the on the road part he took his hand off the throttle and hi- fived to workman. Started my mod 1 on Kawasaki VN900( as I can't ride the schools bikes because of my disabilities) he decided he was bored so he flew a drone in my lesson. I'll keep on watching your videos as they are a great help. Many thanks.

Blimey you are a nice calm lady. I am not kidding you when I did all of this about seven years ago our instructors could not string a sentence together without using the F word. If you made a mistake like the one lad did when he dropped the bike at a junction the use of language was colourful to say the least. Luckily for me I just laughed it off and let it go over my head but some of the youngsters were bloody terrified. You also laugh as you are instructing which keeps the learner’s calm and reminds them that riding a bike is supposed to be fun. The Hells Angels would have been calmer than the instructors I had and probably much more fun.

Great content and very helpful. I passed my theory test yesterday and sit my Mod 1 & 2 next month. Your videos are helping me prepare for what is to come. I hope I get an instructor as calm and patient as you.

@@motorcyclelessonsuk hi Leanna, just to let you know I didn't pass my Mod 1 last Thursday. I went to pieces and made a complete arse of the U-turn. Taking the positives from it, I remembered to do all the shoulder checks and the swerve avoidance was perfect. I've got a resit tomorrow morning and feeling much more confident. I'll keep you posted.

@@stuartmacdonald9289 It happens! The main thing is you don't worry about it. Mod 1 is very much a reflection of your performance on the day, not your overall ability. At the end of the day you will pass whether its tomorrow or next time, just stay positive and keep trying! Good luck 😊 (don't forget to watch my recent video on slow riding and U-Turns😉)

Your brilliant. Pretty sure your in a different area but wish I could have you as an instructor. I still have 10 months and 26 days until I’m 19 but often find myself watching videos about the A2. And your videos are keeping me confident.

Can you explain the use of the horn? And if on a mod 2 test - what speed shoul;d we travel in a 40 if its light'heavy rain or wet roads? Would an examiner fail us if we did 30 for example?

Hi, can you give me a time code for the horn please? For speed limits try watching this: kzread.info/dash/bejne/qIZ8q8uMZ82dgc4.html Even if it is raining you should be getting up to the speed limit if it is safe to do so. Cars won't drive slower just because it is raining. If you are holding back the traffic by riding too slowly you will be marked down and can fail. How you get up to and slow down from the speed limit is different but generally we would still get up to the speed limit unelss there is excessive standing water or flooding. @@kennethkitchen4248 Aha.... So the answer is... Long and complicated: Pre 1st Feb 2001 anyone who passed their full car licence gained "grandad rights" to ride a 50cc moped without L plates and could take a pillion. If they didn't have a full car licence but did a CBT before 2001 they did NOT gain grandad rights. Post 1st Feb 2001 anyone who passed a full car licence then completed a CBT, even when that CBT expired after 2 years can continue to ride a 50cc moped without needing further CBTs or training. This does not apply if you did your CBT before you gained your full car licence. If they did CBT first but passed their car test whilst CBT was still valid then they still get the rights for life to ride a 50cc moped without L plates and to carry a passenger. So it depends on when you took your car test essentially. I hope this helps 😊

I’m currently doing the DAS (in Sheffield), I am struggling a little with the slow manoeuvres figure 8 and the weaving through the cones ( I do suffer with severe depression and severe anxiety) but I’m plodding on. I’m taking some time out at the moment due to personal circumstances, I hope to be returning to my DAS training at the end of March, In the meantime I’m trying to get out as much as I can on my 125 to build up my confidence and I’ve also managed to find some disused ground to practice my slow manoeuvres.
