Thanks so much for these videos! I passed my Mod 2 this week and my only preparation was to watch all of your Mod 2 videos. I had your voice in my head during the test - “mirror, mirror, signal, wee life saver”!
Mod 2 is in three hours, and I swear I've learned more from these videos than my instructor by far. Really appreciate the hard work that went into these dude!

Just wanted to say thank you for taking the time to make these videos.I looked through all of them and they were a big help for me to prepare for my mod 2.Very informative plus amazing advice.I’m 52 and with you’re help a I passed my mod2 4 days ago first time.looking forward to getting my first bike now and as I continue to learn I will remember you’re good advice.once again thanks mate.
Passed my Mod 2 today, first time, and have to say these videos are worth their weight in gold. Having all of this info on hand before even starting training gave me the edge. 3 minors, but wouldn't have cared if it was 9, a pass is a pass. Thank you @motoecosse
I am preparing for moto exam, next Friday, in Romania. Your videos are really valuable and a lot to learn from them. Thank you!
Really concise, and your delivery is excellent. Your commanding voice really gets the message dialed in. I can imagine you being in my head next time I'm out.

Great videos mate, really well explained. At first you seemed to be a bit repetitive but I quickly realised that's exactly what's needed to drill it in. I've been riding around on my 125 thinking about stuff you've said. Passed Mod1 first time but failed Mod2 sadly, just a stupid mistake incorrectly indicating on a 5+ junction roundabout (maybe a video including one would be good). I've been riding too much like a car driver! Just waiting for a new test date but feeling more confident after watching your videos.
@MotoEcosse
3 жыл бұрын
Yeah when started riding I would also ride about as if I was in my car. I quickly realised just how different it is and you're absolutely spot on, that repetition is key when practicing, so much so that eventually it all becomes 2nd nature. That's hardlines about your first MOD 2. There are a few roundabout videos in the MOD 2 playlist. They cover the basic principles of your standard 4 exit roundabout, and they do cover when you should and shouldn't signal. Hopefully you'll find them useful. All the best for the next MOD 2. I was the same when I was learning. Right turns just felt awkward. Where you look is massive help, I know seems simple but sometimes just looking in the wrong place can mess with you. Also learning to do the U-turn correctly made a huge difference, recently done a video on the U-turn you might find helpful. Going to right corners you're familiar with, preferably when quiet, and just going over it and over it, then try going out on the road and you'll start to notice you're right turns will naturally start to develop more. 🤜🤛

Hi love the videos man new to the channel. I have a question about following distance from the car in front of you. Should you be far back enough (or in lane position 3) to see the car in front of the car closest to you or would that be too far back? I feel like it gives me more time to react than going by the car in front but I wouldn’t want to be so far back as to be a hazard. Thanks
@MotoEcosse
2 жыл бұрын
You only really need to be in position 3 when either following a long vehicle like a bus or a lorry. It makes it easier for them to see you in their mirrors, or if you're planning an overtake you would move into position 3. As for following distance 2 to 3 seconds behind is generally a safe enough distance. You can use the 2 second rule for most situations but always remember to at least double in bad weather. 🤜🤛

This was great I’m just starting out for my license. Just a little concerned about the gears I’ve ridden a 500 AUTO. But I’m now got to get myself used to using gears. Great video! I have my mid 2 at the end of the month. I am guilty of riding in position 3 rather than 2 any tips on keeping the bike in posisition 2??
@MotoEcosse
3 жыл бұрын
Hi, Carwyn. It really all comes down to reminding yourself when you're out on your bike. Say to yourself before you head out, "I'm going to stay in position 2 today". Make a habit of talking to yourself and reminding yourself to stay in the command position, position 2. Only go into a different position when it's needed. It will take a bit of practice. Obviously once you pass your mod 2 you can be a bit more flexible on how your ride, but for test day you need to show the examiner you understand and can use positions correctly. Hope this helps and all the best for test day. 🤜🤛
