    Passed mine in Monday rush hour - city centre. 2 minors. 1 for speeding up just before the 50 sign. The other for moving out of a junction a little too boldly. Enjoyed it though - good examiner.

    It is also good while stationary to point the front wheel in the direction you want to go then pull away it makes the angled start a lot easier!

  • @motorcyclelessonsuk

    I disagree. Many people can't manage a pull away with the handlebars turned as it can make the bike drop in too quickly. It's better to gain balance briefly with the bars straight, then turn, for those less experienced in riding heavy bikes. We've seen it go wrong many times! Thanks 😊

    @@motorcyclelessonsuk same at junctions I point the bike in the direction I want to go, keeping tight to the kerb on a left so no one can squeeze past, slight angle and wheel turned in direction I want to d go for a right, then when it’s time to go no swan necking, it works for me, I enjoy your videos, and comments, thank you.

    Passed my theory. Be weary of road imperfection like a slight uneven slant camber beside a kerb that has caught me out a few times.

    My examiner made me do an angled start and hill start in one, it was a very steep hill. I think it was unfair as the hill was so steep you wouldn't normally park that close such that you would have to do an angled start. He made me stop very close to the car

    Blimey, practising after work is hard, let alone after a night shift! Take it easy! Haha, the videos are useful for me to recommend my own students watch them when we identify areas they need to work on. The comments and interest from others is however, a welcome by-product and nide to know others are finding them useful. Take care and well done with your braking 😊

    😂 yes it is rather difficult but I know I’m tired so I am just aware which helps for when I’m on the road to be focused on what I’m doing! Tbh fresh air that time of the morning wakes anybody 😂 but yes I will take it easy 😊 thanks for your comments! I listen oh great ☝️ Yes the videos are great and I think it’s a plus for your students to be able to see and learn from what they do with you on the road and then go and see the video 😅 Ok need to get back to the job in hand! See you in the next one!! (always wanted to say that)😂😂😂😂😂😂

    I assume it's not practical to counter-steer when doing this, or maybe that would be too much to think about?

  • @motorcyclelessonsuk

    @motorcyclelessonsuk

    9 ай бұрын

    Hi, counter steering doesn't come into effect until the bike is moving at slightly higher speeds. At the speed you move off it is steering not countersteering that is required. Thanks 😊

    Angled starts on bike test really...?? 🤣 Meanwhile, as I understand it they have removed the three point turn on a car test?? But, that''s ok as long as you can use a satnav...??? I may be old, but frankly the worlds gone mad....People have to do three point turns all the time...and, especially in the dark, if you haven't been trained how to do them properly you are putting yourself at serious risk.
