The reason it is performed so emotionally is because it is based on a true story which I'm sorry you didn't know before you reacted. A cable car accident in China in 1999 took the lives of 14 people, including the mother and father of a little boy whose parents lifted him to safety before they died. The song is being sung from the viewpoint of the boy as he watches his parents be taken from him. The lady who wrote the song ultimately adopted that little boy.

Dimash sings all the songs that way - living his life in these songs. That's why there are so many emotions in his voice that penetrate the hearts of listeners.

At his first concert in Bastau: This song tells the sad story of a Chinese boy (Quon Yan), who along with his family, suffered a cable car accident in Xingyi city in Guizhou province, where many people died, but the boy's parents held him up with their hands and he survived, though the parents died. The song was written and composed by the boy's adoptive mother (Han Hong) and Dimash sang the song for the first time in Mandarin on “The Singer 2017”, but he had a sore throat and sang through injections. The doctor said that if he sang high notes, he would never sing again... He sang! Then he made this wonderful version, already cured, at his show in Bastau!
