    My diet I changed to eating meat only at dinner. I air fry instead of frying.. I can't do coconut products, butter, or Kefir. It took my LDL to 179. I do a Smoothie on most days. My Smoothie consists of organic frozen (kale cubes, blueberries, strawberries, avocados), uncooked oatmeal, hemp seeds,,chia seeds, cacao, 1/2 serving size of Vega Protein and Greens Protein powder, and Spring water. I am at my best Cholesterol in over 24 years. I am now at Total 158. HDL 70, LDL 81, TRIG 39. I have never had a LDL under 100. For Breakfast, I eat steel cut oatmeal with Benecol Plant Stanol spread and drink a glass of organic soy milk about 3 times a week. I eat beans once or twice a week. I am ecstatic about my numbers.

    I lowered my cholesterol in 6 months by stopping eating all foods that contain cholesterol, especially cheese. Also losing weight comes easily not eating cholesterol foods and doing intermittent eating, very small breakfast, no lunch, and larger dinner with no food after 10pm and gentle exercises. Also lowered my blood pressure significantly.

    That's fantastic to hear about your success in lowering your cholesterol and improving your overall health! 🌟 Your approach of eliminating foods high in cholesterol, particularly cheese, and adopting intermittent fasting along with regular exercise is a well-rounded strategy. Keep up the excellent work, and continue prioritizing your health through these positive lifestyle changes.

    I highly recommend you look into the new research out there on cholesterol. They have found high cholesterol is not an issue till after it is over 200 now. Now showing anything under 100 is now considered deadly. I learned this from Dr. Ken Berry here also on youtube. He even puts all the research in his notes so you can look up all the info yourself and digest it. He also explains how all this research is done and if it was a good or bad study. A lot of these studies are just someone asking someone what they had for lunch 6 months ago.....you really think we should trust that study....I'd never stake my life on someone 6 months ago memory. I can tell ya I follow Dr Ken Berry to a T cause my doc wanted me on statin, after 3 month she said glad to see you taking your statins. I said "I'm not taking them never even filled the prescription" Her mouth hit the floor and then asked what I was doing. Told her I followed everything Dr. Ken Berry told me. She no longer prescribes statins she prescribes Dr Ken Berry....been 3 yrs and she is so happy that she has taken almost every single patient off of statin now. Show's you really need to do your research. Most these people are trained by the same people poisoning you. You really think they training the nutritionist or doctor to make you healthy?...Pharma would be broke if they did that. I also follow Dr Shawn Baker, Dr Kiltz, Dr Anthony Chaffee just to name a few other for you to look into. Good luck, plz do the research for your health.

    @@icewater4725 I'm able to walk again, no more seizures, a1c is 5.6, BP last check 117/65. I can now open my arms all the way before only half way. I still have a lot of healing to do though. I was severely malnourished from being mostly a plant eater, My diabetic dietician said no more then 3 oz of meat a day. When I asked why said way to many calories, if you just eat veggie you'll lose weight. Never lost a pound, I just kept gaining weight. Even though I was biking 10 miles every other day and walk 3 miles ever day. All I ever felt was tired, exhausted, pain, sleepless. Sleep like a baby now, love it. I'm doing 120 grams of protein and 200 grams of fat and I have so much energy. When i drop the protein or fat, I start feeling tired and pain comes back. I can't get out of my chair. Some days my fat goes down to 160, but if i do that to long all the energy is zapped out of me. I honest think carnivore is the proper human diet. Even my husband was surprised of my come back that he went carnivore and he is loving!

    @@nourishcenter If they body makes cholesterol all on it own why would you think not eating food would stop the body from making the cholesterol at all? Cholesterol is not an essential nutrient according to the FDA. Which means the body has no need of food to make this nutrient. Which then mean it don't matter what food you give the body it will make as much cholesterol it need to repair the body. The more cholesterol your body make the more damage you have in the body. You really should go have a nice chat with Dr Ken Berry. I think you will find it very beneficial to yourself. I would think you would be very concerned about giving bad info that is no longer supported by Medical handbook. Dr. Berry will tell ya the name of the Medical Journal and what page it is on. Please update your teaching so we can get the proper infomation to people so they can actually heal. Everyone should be on the PHD (Proper Human Diet)

    My First thought of you was, what a physical phorm of perfection. My Second thought was what a well articulated specimen (as if you also majored in journalism or literature). These two things distracted me from your message until you said, "Genetics Load the Gun, Lifestyle Pulls the Trigger" (What a PROFOUND statement). As much reading as I do, I don't know how I missed that quote. That quote snapped me out my trance, and I started listening to (not hearing) your content; which brings be to your most important attribute: knowledge & intelligence. You Are The Total Package (brains, beauty, bronze (more than likely). You should do well in your endeavors. Just keep up on the latest science on diet & nutrition. I have been embarrassed by what some so-called dieticians/nutritionists have preached. It's like they have been influenced by the food industry, as some doctors have been, by big pharma. I won't be surprise to see PhD following your name in a few years. Well done young lady, well done!!!

    This is so interesting, and I am so grateful that this video is so easy to understand. My cholesterol was really bad, but when I went on a mostly plant based diet, with meat (usually chicken) only 2x a week, my cholesterol dropped. After I decreased he tofu meals (despite all my creativity with finding and adapting tofu recipes), I got bored and haven’t been using as much tofu as the main part of my evening meals. Just had bloodwork and found out that in these five months, my cholesterol went up 20 mg/dl. I am taking an active role now in changing my diet and to exercise more. Also,want to mention that we only buy organic, non-GMO tofu and soy milk.

While there isn't strong scientific evidence to support the idea of eating for your blood type, it's great to hear that it's worked well for you. Ultimately, the most important thing is finding a way of eating that makes you feel good and supports your health goals. Thank you for watching and commenting on the video!

    The blood type diet has been very well researched by Dr D' adamo he has written a number of books on the subject & his research has been well documented over many years, his father before him had researched blood type before him too. It has been categorically proven that the blood type diet works. I myself have changed to this way of eating, my bad cholesterol has reduced to a healthy level, also my blood sugar, inflamation & digestive issues.

    Cholesterol isn’t necessarily bad and it doesn’t always lead to heart attack or stroke. Hdl to triglyceride ratio is a better way to tell if you are in danger.

  • @nourishcenter

    @nourishcenter

    9 ай бұрын

    You're absolutely right! 🌟 Cholesterol isn't inherently bad; in fact, our bodies need it for various functions. What's crucial is the balance and the type of cholesterol in your bloodstream. The HDL (high-density lipoprotein) to triglyceride ratio is indeed a valuable indicator of heart health. Higher levels of HDL, often referred to as "good" cholesterol, can help reduce the risk of heart disease, while lower levels of triglycerides are associated with a lower risk as well. High LDL should be avoided. It's essential to focus on the overall lipid profile and work with healthcare professionals to assess your heart disease risk accurately. Lifestyle factors like a healthy diet, exercise, and avoiding smoking play a significant role in maintaining a favorable cholesterol balance and heart health. 💓🍏🏃‍♀️

    One commentator here brought up a very interesting and good point. Her Sister in law weighs only 120 lbs yet has high cholesterol and yet we are told to lose 5% body fat or more to help lower cholesterol... so what does that indicate in terms of high cholesterol? Is there then another approach if a person is NOT overweight? I would be very interested to know. As well... can high cholesterol cause gallstones, as they are made up of cholesterol. This was not mentioned, and would seem important to know about when it comes to the topic. Thank you.

    Hi! Thank you for bringing up these points, as there is but so much I can talk about in such a short video. You can ABSOLUTELY be at a healthy weight and have high cholesterol (and even high blood pressure). Being overweight is not the only risk factor for high cholesterol. Also, high cholesterol can cause high gallstone concentrations AND gallstones can cause high cholesterol. I know, science is so confusing and it's really difficult to find the "root cause" even though we try our best to get pretty close. Hopefully this helps! Hello Freddy! You're welcome! I'm glad you found the information informative. When it comes to managing LDL cholesterol, it's essential to work closely with a healthcare professional.There isn't a direct "test" to monitor LDL cholesterol, but regular blood tests, known as lipid panels, can measure your cholesterol levels, including LDL. Based on these results, your healthcare provider can help you create a plan to lower LDL if it's too high. Monitoring your cholesterol levels over time will allow you to track your progress and make any necessary adjustments. Let me know if you have any other questions! :)

    Thanks for responding to my comment. You spoke above me. You used terminology I didn’t understand. You were giving us helpful tips but the terms you used in your first 3 points were not clear. I read the other comments and a few comments supported the points you made but those folks are dietitians Top 3 foods 1- saturated fats, trans fatty acids, but you didn’t give foods that related to those “ Fats”. 2- viscous fibers Plant sterols and stanols. Your video intimated “ foods” so if you wanted specifics that is some of it.

    @@elleenellis7246 Thank you for your message and for watching my video. I apologize for any confusion that may have arisen due to the use of technical terms in my video. I tried to give general information because there are many different foods in each category. However, I did give some examples of specific foods in the video - At 5:31 in the video, I provided some examples of plant sterol/stanol sources, at 6:21 I shared examples of different types of soluble fiber foods, and at 6:53 I shared different types of soy foods that contain isoflavones...I hope that helps! Thank you again for watching my video and leaving a comment. If you have any other questions or concerns, feel free to ask.

    So interesting! Can you point me to a link for the Epigenetics Study. Thank you. Love that quote: "GENETICS LOADS THE GUN; BUT LIFESTYLE PULLS THE TRIGGER." I've got to remember t to use that quote every time my husband tells me his high blood pressure, clogged arteries, and pre-diabetes was inherited (rather than change his diet, and stop eating fatty foods). THANKS

    You're very welcome! I'm glad you found the concept of epigenetics interesting and sharing it with your husband may definitely be helpful!! If you're interested in learning more about epigenetics, I recommend checking out resources like 'The Epigenetics Revolution' by Nessa Carey or "Epigentics: How Our Environment Shapes Our Genes" by Richard Francis(love this one!). The book by Francis is what I was referring to in the video and he cites a lot of research in it. Remember, it's always worth considering how our lifestyle choices can positively impact our health. Encouraging your husband to make dietary adjustments and adopt healthier habits may be beneficial in managing his conditions. Wishing you both the best on your health journeys!

    Great information. But, how do I know my soy products are good? I’ve heard for years that soy is grown with a lot of pesticides so I stopped consuming it.

    Great question! Whenever I buy soy products I always try to get my hands on organic and non-gmo products. I love tofu and edamame (both soy products) so I always get these organic and non-gmo for around $2-3 depending on what supermarket I shop at. Hope this is helpful ❤️

    Will taking daily grass fed beef collagen cause high LDL?

  • @nourishcenter

    @nourishcenter

    In simple terms, taking daily grass-fed beef collagen supplements is unlikely to directly cause high LDL cholesterol. LDL cholesterol is primarily affected by saturated and trans fats in your diet, rather than proteins like collagen :)

    Is it true tho that soy is hard on the thyroid? I have hypothyroidism and was told to avoid soy / soy products. Also w kidney stones there are certain nuts, beans [ things high in oxalates ], so it makes it difficult for me to find things I can eat ... I also have hereditary high cholesterol and am statin resistant... plan to try the plant sterols. Thank you for this video

    You're welcome! I'm glad you found the video helpful. When it comes to soy and thyroid health, there has been some debate. Soy contains compounds called goitrogens, which can interfere with thyroid function in HIGH amounts. However, moderate consumption of soy foods is generally considered safe for individuals with hypothyroidism. COOKING soy can reduce the goitrogenic effects.Regarding kidney stones and oxalates, it's true that certain foods like nuts and beans are higher in oxalates, which can contribute to kidney stone formation (if you are prone to it). Plant sterols can be a beneficial addition to help manage hereditary high cholesterol, especially if you're statin-resistant, because they work by reducing the ABSORPTION of dietary cholesterol in the intestines. Consulting with YOUR doctor or dietitian can help you create a personalized plan that addresses your hypothyroidism, kidney stones, and high cholesterol concerns effectively. Hope this helps! 🌿👩‍⚕️🍽️

I am 52 and average to slightly overweight height 1.71 weight 70kg this year my green eyes turning blue struggling with vision, had racing pulse twice as high passed out twice in 6 months. My sugar is normal 6.I am on no drugs nor medications. Is it safe for me to fast free from food few days?

    It sounds like you're experiencing some concerning symptoms, and I'd highlyyy recommend consulting with a healthcare professional before starting any fasting regimen, especially given your recent health issues. Fasting can have BOTH benefits and risks, and it's essential to ensure it's safe for your individual health profile. Your doctor can provide personalized advice and guidance based on your medical history and current symptoms.

    What foods have plant sterols?

  • @nourishcenter

    @nourishcenter

    Жыл бұрын

    Plant sterols can be found in some everyday foods that you may already enjoy! Vegetable oils like soybean, canola, and sunflower oil are great sources. Nuts and seeds, such as almonds, walnuts, peanuts, and flaxseeds, are also packed with these beneficial compounds. Whole grains like wheat germ and oat bran, and even avocados, oranges, strawberries, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts, contain small amounts of plant sterols!
