    Quick tip for that CV axle removal, I made a thin fork I put on a heavy slide hammer that slides behind the inside collar of the CV axles. A good solid whack and they pop right out. No damage and no fighting

    How do they compare to the stock 2013 ZL1 1/2 shafts do you know ? Also what axles are those ? I’m pretty sure after my trans upgrade and rebuild I’m pretty sure it’s only a matter of time .. lol

    Hummm....back in the old days with Camaros, we hardly ever broke axles. The IRS that GM came up with seems to not have been a good idea.

    Sorry to be the sadsack here, It wouldn't matter what the prev owner said, I would have taken all the CVs apart, washed in the parts cleaner, then reassemble them & regrease after they had been resecured to the axles.

    It would be cheaper to just get a 6th gen and the cost to build the LT engines are alot higher.

    @jonmiller6906 well realistically yes it is expensive. I'm from Houston, they sell you a whole engine/trans LT1/LT4 for like 5k to 8k depending on miles. Another 6-8k for custom harness, driveshaft, fuel system etc on a stock setup. I currently got a 2022 6.2 Gen 5 swapped into a 2003 single cab silverado. I spent around 12-14k plus performance mods. No labor money because I did it all myself.
