Did Halo Plastic RUIN These MOLDS!? // Halo Roadrunner Vs. Halo Sidewinder // Disc Golf
What is good everyone in todays video I played with the Halo roadrunner and sidewinder only! Throughout this video I wanted to see the flight characteristics and similarities while playing a fun round! These discs definitely got a boost in stability in the halo plastic so it was fun to see how premium plastic can change a disc! Make sure to hit that LIKE and SUBSCRIBE button!

I like me some stable sidewinders as well as flippy. They are a winner with that massive glide. My preference is Star and I use them for hyzer flip max D with my medium-firm noodle arm
As someone with a slower arm speed. Halo road runner is a great distance driver for me. Lots of glide and still wants to flip up. If you still haven't reached 4s like me. This is a disc you want in your bag.
It's also fairly cold out there and your hands are probably not able to grip as well, meaning you wont be able to get as much speed on the disc so they won't act as flippy as they would normally. Halo yes is typically more stable but they do beat in relatively quick.
Sidewinders and Roadrunners are the same discs when they're first molded. The sidewinders are cooled after they're molded, which makes them have the concave/flat bottom rim, while the roadrunner is more convex.
Champ Sidewinder... Numbers tell me that it will be a 9 speed alternate for a Mamba, but I have found it to be shockingly stable---Nothing to Love
I thow a beast a sidewinder and a roadrunner.... depending on how long i need it to hold right for me
I bag 4 star sidewinders from super beefy to roller (throwing 375ish feet). Give the Callie McMorran Champ Sparkle Roadrunner a shot if you want one that's crazy overstable. It's weird.
I got a mason ford halo sidewinder and it is AWESOME! Flies like a more extreme thunderbird ie. more turn and more fade
A stable sidewinder is perfect! Dead straight for a LOOOOOONG way.
Dude that's exactly what I expect out of halo plastics!
halo plastic definitely creates the disc to be more stable, I bag a halo teebird3 and lone its flight, great video!
I have a star roadrunner. The color is hideous but it flies amazing so I am happy.
Halo Sidewinder, which i mistakenly purchased to replace a preflight number star Sidewinder, flies more like a relatively new Valkyrie for me. I guess once it been broken in pretty heavily, it may do better.
I used to bag a sidewinder, loved how flippy it was once it got beat in, I replaced it with a roadrunner here recently and the roadrunner just doesn't have that same flip up for me, definitely a big sidewinder fan over the roadrunner for that slot
Life is like innova plastic... you never know what you're gonna get...
I don’t think halo plastic is to blame. The newer runs of sidewinders are just more stable.
It's all about the dome; if they're flatter you will get more turn out of them. If they're domey with a pop top they will have a lot of stability. Even being beat in they tend to fly straight instead of turning over a lot. Amazing disc once you learn how its characteristics.

Nah dome is more to do with glide. Parting line height on a disc has the most influence on stability characteristics
Had a champion sidewinder since 2008 but I lost it about 4 months ago 😢 just after that I got a light weight ⭐ roadrunner that is great for flip panover shots and perfect for uphill shots on a little hyzer release.
A sidewinder always reminds me of a dynamic disc’s escape. The flights are really close.

I used to throw escapes for my flippy slot, switched to the sidewinder because f2’s are so much cheaper

I've bagged both... for me when thrown flat, the Escape is a later turn, understable mid flight and more stable fade, like a rounded question mark. And the Sidewinder is earlier in turn, more stable mid flight, and less fade then the Escape. Both solid molds, I find the Escape more consistent in flight.
Love my halo roadrunner, halo star is always a little more stable. It’s become my favorite disc off the tee.
My teebird3 in halo sucks compared to my gstar teebird3.

Like 2 completely different discs. Gstar Flys exactly as you would expect and want. In halo is crazy beefy goes like half as far unless you release on crazy anny. I have been trying to beat it in but no luck yet still throws nothing like any teebird
I have Roadrunners in every plastic except glow. My Halo is the Juliana Korver run. It took quite a bit of use but now it’s starting to fly like a Roadrunner.

How did it fly before it was beat in?
I gave away my champion sidewinder got to Flippy but my fly dye roadrunner is pretty stable 9 5 -2 2. I prefer champion mambas. Just bought Hades and heat. Hades is inconsistent but heat flys very similar to my mambas and more true to it's numbers

I really really want a halo mamba. Star is to gummy and Flippy.
Got 3 roadrunners in the bag 😂. Beat up star a pretty new halo and a champ . They’re my jam
I bag a Star Roadrunner as my main driver probably because of my arm speed it flies more stable
I definitely think halo makes stuff overstable but they still are solid discs because you can throw them harder than a typical run of the disc
I'll toss a roadrunner in once in a while. When i hit it right i can get 390 foot laser straight hyzer flip ropes. I had a u-dye RR a while ago and it was board stiff and flew like a beat it thunderbird. Was a sidearm machine until i lost it. I'd love to find another like it and beat it all the way in
My sidewinder is stable and I started to get insecure bc I would rarely flip it
Roadrunner is good for a Flippy stand still 4hand. Flips late and rides
I bag a star roadrunner. I think it's a little more overstable than what the numbers say. I think that I like the Sidewinder a bit more I lost it unfortunately
I think Innova blows haha but solid content. Good job 👏

Yea, Climo, McBeth and Wysocki had real trouble performing while using Innova discs. 😂😂😂. It’s the archer, not the arrow. Keep blaming the plastic, that’ll really improve your game.
Idc what anyone is saying this isn't a sidewinder.
