Definitely an oberstable run of tesla but in my experience all teslas are more 0 2 turn to fade. I've got 2 CD1s in c line that fly like my raptors but also an s line cd1 that flies like my undertakers. Plastic means a lot.

Just to help: Farther is physical distance, further is figurative. Example: You can take your disc golf game further if you can throw your disc farther than 300 feet. I threw my Hades farther than my Tern.

Great video man! I agree with what you said about them being control discs, and in my experience these type of discs allow you to control where the flipping point is as the speed increases, like they will all behave a bit the same, but if you need a disc to flip farther down a fairway you might grab a faster disc in fact.

I noticed that a lot of the time a person switches up the way they play a sport (most especially when they give themselves a subtle handicap) they end up performing better than usual. Something about increased focus due to the expectation of failure with a handicap. The cycle continues. Incompetence - competence - confidence - overconfidence - incompetence----

Good video Max. A light weight star wraith is my go to max distance driver for low wind or tailwind. I’m looking at the wraith champ or halo for headwinds. Have you thrown a champ wraith? Is it slightly less stable than the halo wraith? For reference I’m a 300’ max 65yo disc golfer. Thanks

I recommend as a viewer to go ahead and rethrow the disc if you hit a first available. The whole purpose of a video is to "see" the difference. So you can say for that round it doesn't get points or whatever, but we would like to see the throw more than care if you had to rethrow a disc. Let's say you're making a video on trying to get a great score on a course, yeah, then it would be weird to have you rethrow but not when you are truly comparing flight
@i2Shea4 күн бұрын
Agreed, would love to see a rethrow!
@batjeep5ter9474 күн бұрын
When you throw high anhyzer forehands, you're not utilizing your lower body. Which in turn makes the disc more overstable. Try some low lines on a hyzer and make sure you watch Ryan Sheldon's forehand video for getting distance with a forehand.
@batjeep5ter9474 күн бұрын
You're not giving the time lapse a full throw, you have to work on your release angle, getting your shoulders turned away from your target, using your left knee and shoulder to drive forwards bringing the disc into your power pocket and then unleashing your coiled up body through your throwing arm. You'll start to feel more snap when you get the timing and engagement of your toes, hips, and shoulders down. Good luck with the content.

All of the Tesla's I've thrown, including the new Simon one, are not as overstable as you say. They are neutral to understable with pushing glide and a nice fade. Also, I bag Simon's Hex, Sky God IV, and a Full Tilt.

My proton hummingbird Tesla flies like a firebird. My new neutron has a consistent fade. And my old neutron that I lost I could actually get to turn a little. Tryna beat the new one in back to that. I absolutely love the feel of teslas, ideally all my 9 speeds will be teslas one day along with my insanity for that extra turn.

Don't have any Simon branded discs, but I did pick up a Hex recently, and I really like it better than my Buzzzes that I had. Pros definitely throw OS stuff but they usually season them perfectly, sometimes for years. After playing for a while I see the benefits of that as opposed to bagging something flippier straight out the box. Need that reliability when throwing hard.
