This isn't his first - I would highly recommend his soy sauce dialogue video.

I personally would prefer if there was more space between the Japanese and English texts. They are so close that I can see what the translation is while I am reading the Japanese text. I'd like to be able to read and listen first, then think about what it means and only after that see if I got it right. Besides that, keep up the good work, always happy to see a new video from you.

I’m a Japanese language teacher working at a school in Japan. The speed is normal. So I think Japanese learners feel fast. But they pronounce each word, very clearly and don’t speak shorten words. The way to speak and vocabularies are for Japanese learners.

Yess I am constantly accidentally reading the English, or seeing it out of the corner of my eye. I honestly wish they were on opposite sides of the screen, or perhaps the English text was much smaller at the bottom

thank you so much this is very useful, it would be great if the subtitles were optional so to read for example only the japanese subtitles, it is difficult to not read the english ones and I tend to focus less on the japanese, also I would exercise more my reading skills if I was constrained to just reading the japanese characters, altho at least at the start some furigana would be ideal, but I can understand that that would require too much work
