First gold and a dog toy, Jeff wins again. However, Gary ‘s biggest piece definitely has some rough and chunky character. Your two look purty purty too. Best of all, you both slaughtered the dreaded skunk. I knew there was a reason to beat a retreat to the subtropics at this time of the year. It’s still going to be at least four months until I touch a gold pan or a detector, so keep these cold gold videos coming. Damn, even though it’s near freezing there, I’m still missing Mother Yuba.👍🇺🇸⚒️

just went to Emigrant Gap just under Lake Spaulding on the Yuba last Sunday ... west of Emerald Pools. I didn't find squat. I think the reservoir blocks the yearly flood gold replenishment, and seems like all of the bedrock was picked well. Oh well, still fun. Very little black sand too. I'll go west from there next time, like Maybert Crossing.

I mined yesterday at Bear River got color , was in the sun all day , while yous are on the Yuba freezing your tushes off .you can buy insulated rubber gloves . I got em especially for this time of year . lol , with all due respect , nice to see you got gold instead of trash !

Haha that's funny you're working Tim's claim I pulled that dog toy out of the river during the Nugget hunt earlier this year and put it up on the rocks it was pretty close to that quartz vein. The water was a little higher during the Nugget hunt. I didn't find any of that gold on the outside bend.
