My Prospecting Adventures started in 1993 when i caught the fever Gold Fever that is !!! I started with Panning and moved up to Dredging. I still think sniping is my favorite way to find Gold !!! Nothing like cooling off in a beautiful Mountain stream . Over the years I've been lucky to have been on a few T.V. shows the first was The Outdoor Channel's Prospecting America with host Perry Massie. I was the Production Coordinator for the show Adventures in Prospecting with host Joey Wilson in it's first two seasons. you can also catch me in video's with Gary Honan ( Two Toes ) on his KZread channel. Our camp had one of the short cuts too the rive I told Everyone cutting thru if they couldn’t show me gold coming back 😂 they had too go back till they found some 😂 Every adult and kid that shortcut thru my campsite found and showed me their gold Nobody was disappointed Nugget Hunt 2025 👍

Hey Jeff, nice video. Unfortunately I was only able to go on the Friday Hunt. I was hoping to see you and invite you to my claim, Matt has my number. Invite the Hawaiian. I found 1.00 grams, biggest nugget is 0.41. Super fun day. And then I went to that Ice cream shop in DV and had a mocha almond fudge ice cream cone. So good. 😊

Wifes hammock and Sponge Bob shorts kind of go together !!!! LOL I was only going to wear them to cross the river and when I got back to camp I was informed I was to wear them to the 4 pm get together !!!! who's to argue plus they were still wet and cool !!!!! LOL

It was a wonderful day with lots of happy goldseekers sharing the fun in a gorgeous location. Goldilocks weather and plenty of gold being found. It was great to see the all of our old friends and to make some new ones. Gary always finds a nugget and Martin found his first gold ever. It’s my favorite day of the mining season. It ain’t all about the gold. I’m already looking forward to next year. Aloha. P.S. You have been a close friend of Gary’s for years. He will need you to be there for him, and to console him, when he sees the 6.88 gram nugget that Shane McDougall found. 👍🇺🇸⚒️

@@Smithsgold I got lots of nails (square and round), and those small pellets are frustrating time sinks. I went down the back side of the hill to the small creek and worked a few crevices. It looks like a perfect spot to find gold, but I got nothing worth keeping. I made a short video of this beautiful little creek. No nuggets up the hill so I went back to the Yuba river, moved rocks, panned under the rocks and got two large flakes and some flood gold. A really fun adventure. I packed up my tent and gear and drove straight to Truckee for ice cream. You have shown me the right way to finish the day. Take care my friend.
