Can't wait for Friday to see Battle of Britain

I played Undaunted Normandy for the first time last week...the next day I bought Undaunted North Africa. Great interview, very interesting.

Great interview! Really happy to see that the Undaunted system is expanding through incorporating narratively-linked campaign elements. That is definitely my favourite way to experience tactical and strategic wargaming. Can't wait for the release!

Great interview David. Very interesting to hear that the winning team is generally the one that takes more damage. Almost self-balancing.

Really looking forward to Stalingrad, seems to be completely exploring the potential of the base Normandy system.

Reminds me of the excellent designer notes in the victory/but games. With so many tactical game choices it's very informative to hear the history beginning from dnd.

The tokens are what grabbed my attention. I will forever choose tokens with artwork, looking like this or similar than a shit ton of miniatures.

I had no idea there's was an accompanying art book, that's just the kind of thing to get fired up for a game and the full imersive experience.

Great interview! A few questions: What catch-up mechanics are included to stop one player slipping further behind? What legacy games had you played to gain inspiration?

25:00 Why not meet in the middle by shuffling your supply deck before the start of the game and stack the supply deck in rifleman, scout etc stacks as they come from your hand, and simply pick up units how they are stacked in the supply deck?

I love the fact that undaunted Stalingrad can be reset, looking forward to it 👍

I thought of a couple of questions after the fact for David. 1. Could this be played 4 player similar to the 4 player scenarios in Reinforcements? It could make for some interesting team dynamics if one player has to risk their soldiers to get to an objective and so on. 2. Other than it being huge, I remember a while back that the designers said this was the game that nearly broke them... Was there anything specific that got them close to breaking or was it just the enormity of the project in general? Thanks again for a really interesting interview!

It was a combination of the scope of the game, making sure that the effects of the upgrade/casualty system didn't create a "death spiral" for one player, and the insane behind the scenes complexity of the branching narrative.

Theoretically you could play some (most) of the scenarios 4p. You would just have to decide how to divide the forces up between the teammates.

I'm interested to know if more undaunted games are coming to Steam. I see Normandy is scheduled to drop soon, but I would like stalingrad too. Also, an Android version would be nice!
