Well that’s the interesting mechanic I forgot to mention. You can concede match early so that you save your troops from casualties.

I feel like Stalingrad is complete version of the Undaunted series so far. They’ve all been great but I think the designers vision was fully realized with this entry. Absolutely outstanding.

Completely agree, I gave this one a ten as well. I’m in my second play through and it’s great seeing all the things that are changing from the first.

I came across Thompson with Pavlov’s House which led me to buy Undaunted & Reinforcements. It’s a game I only play solo. As I have so much still in the box I’m not buying Stalingrad, but I highly recommend it to anyone who likes war or skirmish games.

I started the campaign the last week and it is amazing! Agree with you Brian!

Would you recommend someone who's never played undaunted before to get this version? I've been eyeing the series for a while and the idea of repercussion from mission to mission in a campaign sounds super appealing to me.

Is this only campaign like in a legacy style where once you're finished with campaigns that's it? Or can this be played in the same manner as Dominion or Clank for example 1vs1?

Interesting review and hearing your thoughts, you obviously really love the system. Undaunted is one I'm not really sure of. I love the first half of the game but then it seems to get to a point where it's pretty clear who's won and you are just going through the motions.. I really want to love it too but probably falls to a 7 for me..

I have sold Undaunted Normandy as games too often ended in a grinding dice-fest. This still looks amazing, but i hesitate because of that. Is it still "lucky" and/or less grindy?
