The "gun/cannon/missile launcher fingers" is actually a trope from the Japanese mecha anime since the 70s. From the Gundam franchise alone, we have *Gouf, Zeong & Psycho Gundam* which are popular designs with the gun-fingers. It's nice that Sentai continued the trend all the way to the 2000s.

Going with the Gundam imagery here the Time Shadow looks uncannily similar to Neo Germany's Spiegel Gundam/Shadow Gundam from G-Gundam with it's color scheme, arm blades, and stahlhelm like head.

Even Mechagodzilla had finger missiles if I remember correctly, and Dragon Caesar/Dragonzord mimicked that.

Pretty cool Zord,especially in the show once the shadow cast over the land scape,you know it was coming,the weirdest thing about it was in timeranger it would occasionally grunt like a person yet it doesn’t speak,

Maybe it's the Transformers fan in me, but I always appreciate it when a transforming robot toy doesn't utilize parts forming, even if it hinders the vehicle or robot mode. That being said, the way the arms slide down onto the ball joint and use friction to barely fight gravity seems... frustrating.

They probably already told you this but the metal frames composing the body of the megazords is the oldest trick in the Japanese super sentai megazords before MMPR, almost all of them had metal frames on which the various components would move, rotate, slot, etc

Ryan, how could you talk about the landing gear and then not mention that you can deploy it in combined mode as a set of EPIC MEGAZORD ROLLER SKATES! Anyway great review, I think you shone a light on why I both liked and disliked this thing in my youth. It brought less to the table than the Time Force megazord toy for the same price, but it does look sleek and has a decent amount of play value.

Without a doubt the best ai controlled megazord we've seen on the show.(at least they must have ai to an extent especially in delta and time shadow's cases) Such a neat design for it and I don't think we've seen a megazord since Time Shadow like it aside from lightning mode on the ninja storm megazord. Thing I wanted to bring to your attention for the inevitable Q Rex video is there is a smaller version I've seen that has separating legs and transforms manually. It's about the same size as a zord builder megazord. I bring it up because a complaint about the larger remote controlled one is that it can't separate the legs.

I remember combining Time Shadow with Transformers Cybertron Optimus Prime. Then they combined him with Jetfire in the bay films and thought to myself that I did it first.

I was sad when I "broke" mine when I was small - it got stuck mid-transformation because the railings weren't aligned right. A few years later I was determined to fix it and ended breaking one of the railings' connections to the main body but hey it works now and the broken piece isn't obvious at all. It looks weird but somehow one of my favourites. Now if only I could find my red Time Flyer one of these days...

This the the oldest Zord I own and it is definitely my favourite Time Force Megazord but the other Time force Zords are pretty bad so... I do wish it could hold the blades as in the show, it's the only thing, in my opinion, that holds in back from being perfect. Looking forward to seeing you shout at the Q-Rex brick next.

This figure was one of my grail pieces but the headache I was given due to a scamming seller on ebay made finally getting this guy just a point of contempt for me. Overall I really like the set just wish I had both blue blades for mine.

I never had thr main zords but I had the time shadow and the remote control QRex. I never can unsee how time shadow is always smiling cause of his cockpit being in the shape of a mouth lol

Hasbro have released a few Dino Thunder action figures in the Lightning Collection but that's it at the moment! Bandai's old toys can be got second hand online though, try ebay and other similar sites

The funny part is that when Time Force Red had the Time Shadow Transformation it has his ass kicked quick on his first battle especially by the Quantumsurex Rex LMAO🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 That was so funny. & the most disrespectful thing is that Time Force Blue (the goofy version) with the Time Shadow Transformation can only look strong on the first battle & not the red mode🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️. That’s why I stopped watching Time Force after watching the return of Lightspeed Rescue. It was a disappointment as a Lightspeed Rescue 2.0 but corny. Jen was a pick me & Wes was a simp for life💯
