I wish the creators could've given Time Robo a third robot mode like what we can see in the concept art, and give us the full on Getter Robo homage that's mixed into its design.

What a show, what a cast - and while not perfect these toys still hold a special place thanks to how much i fell for the show. The double combo of this and wild force could not have formed a grander "finale" to watching Power Rangers - after that mostly just took quick glances to see zord combos and a few fight scenes. Another belter of a run down, here's to the Time Shadow and Q-Rex!

Very overhyped show.

Time force was my introduction to Power Rangers and I adore every aspect of it. I never owned the toys tho, but I def love the look of mode red the most.

Wow never knew timerobo toys didnt sell well. The triple transformations are so cool to me.

Man I never got this one as a kid (watched it on a rerun when toy sellers already stock Ninja Storm), but got it recently and has been an instant fav of mine

One of the (many, many) good examples on why this theme/formula worked, were not only the style and functionality of the suits and weapons, but at the top the creative design of this set of Zords. To this day it is still very unique and futuristic. The different formations in this one set always fascinated me, each with their own special skills and attacks. If you placed it among other Megazords it stands out a lot more due to its symmetry and equal tone of color. As you mentioned in this review, it would've been cool to see both modes side by side at one point, due to time traveling duplicates, but alas. Overall great review for an iconic piece of Ranger/Sentai history!

It's literally Jet Icarus but without the bird theme and given one more robo mode

time force was definitely one of those good, yet kinda rough for the time, but aged rather well. even that mode blue i originally thought less of, and honestly find it quick interesting now. and, as someone who often only got the one megazord a year ordel, that megazord worked perfectly.

@@powerrangertube Agreed. It's too bad the proportions are just there, but at least it seems a little more justified with how many forms each Zord has now. A core robot, an alternate mode, a split combined mode, and now a mode to combine with a new core robot. It's just a shame Sentai mechs feel more and more lazy, with Hasbro taking advantage of their experience with Transformers and such to create some pretty nice new Megazord (even if they're not stable, they're at least giving better articulation and all that)

While the 3 in 1 transformation is neat, this leaves the series with not enough toys to sell. A secondary batch of zords could help. Huh didn't know Ninninger sold that badly.

This was a weird one for me. I love the colour red but I preferred the Blue mode over the red mode. It was also the first Power Rangers Megazord I've ever bought.

The Time Force Megazord is insane, hardly any megazord adds a secondary mode, let alone two. And the fact you can still combine another megazord with that on top of that is absolutely nuts. I am glad it seems Hasbro is doing good with the Dino Fury toys (design, not distribution), because we now technically have another megazord with multiple modes (counting the core robot and "tank" modes). Time Force as well as a pretty darn good show. Honestly, if it had less megazord fights needlessly crammed in, I'd honestly recommend it to anyone (even non PR-fans), because the show is written well (even if it is a carbon copy), it had a satisfying and bittersweet finale, and great character arcs as well as some of the better acting in the franchise. I wish we'd get more series like that for PR that don't act childish and instead try to appeal to a moderately matured audience (they can have the childish ones too, just keep a nice balance). Honestly, I wish more long-running franchises would have more mediums to appeal to the various age groups that follow them.

2nd time seeing this and i still say nostalgia coming from the power rangers show i first watched and i love these zords

The Time Force Megazord is a personal Holy Grail of mine; as you said, it's one of the most unique megazords with its ability to have multiple unique combinations, and each mode looks really cool!

I used to own this Megazord as a kid, and I always found it to be really cool how it not only had 2 different Megazord modes, but a jet mode as well, especially considering how simple the transformations themselves actually are! Unfortunately, I no longer have it, and similar to what was seen in this video, I also had a problem with the arm, but it was the left arm in my case, and I think I know what caused it: the shield is REALLY heavy, so having it hold it in Mode Red all the time does eventually stress the joint considerably, so to anyone who owns this toy, I suggest keeping an eye out for that.

I watched Time Force for the first time just a few years ago. I was shocked at how good (most of) the acting was for Power Rangers. Also, you've stepped up your filming game in recent videos and this one definitely shows it.

I seriously just figured out this was one set that turns into two different robos. Hell yeah.

I like to think in the Power Rangers continuity, the Delta Squad and SWAT Megazords from SPD are early prototypes of the Time Force Megazords two modes.

The last season I ever watched in full and the last season of zords I ever purchased. Such a great story but the zords were kind of underwhelming to me. Too much grey plastic. I did love the Quantum Rangers T-Rex zord.

It's as good as you think it is Ryan, I remember as a kid playing with my friend's Time Force Megazord, I loved that it was able to switch between the red mode and blue mode!

I have the black version of Timeranger, and it's probably my fave toy. I love the fact that the ships can combine to form a large ship (so cool) and also not one, but 2 different robot forms. The best :D

Dude. you're my hero....for doing the green screen effect for the transformation ! I love this megazord. I am suscribing...I hope you do more of the transformations for your other reviews, like you did here. It makes the video so fun

Red Megazord looks great, but I can't get over how silly the Itty bitty arms on Blue Megazord look.

I was disappointed that the mini figures were sold separately. The American version I found out you'd have to buy miniature playsets where as the japanese one was a small pack with the blaster

Another amazing review! I'm wondering if there was a reissue of the megazord or something during the season, because I got my US version towards the beginning of Time Force, and it had die-cast wheels

Im thinking the main reason time force didn't hit as hard was the message it tried to send to it's viewers. Friendship, forgiveness, giving back to the community, uplifting your fellow man/woman, understanding/empathy, and of course redemption. And because of that we got less fights/physical conflict agency. As a kid most of us didn't even know what homelessness/poverty or financial responsibility was so we couldn't connect with the show. As a kid I didn't really like time force but as I grew older I realized it was one of the best because what made it fail (in my opinion). As a adult I feel the messages were what made it so memorable.

If I remember correctly, The future kept changing due to the rangers' actions in the present This is how Alex came back to life

Time Force Megazord is easily one of the best Megazords. I don’t think we will ever get a Megazord similar to it again.

No great loss for me.

I can already see the mode red head opening problem coming back for next video for shadowforce mode red. Kinda funny how the toyline makes you favor mode red cause it has weapons and shadowforce mode blue because it's less of a pain to form. I got mine a short while back and the only problem I had were many of the screws were rusted but it just took some stuff to get the screw heads all cleaned up. Time Force is one of 4 seasons I watched for the first time on marathons that nicktoons did of several seasons. Ever since I got the shout factory dvd I've been able to appreciate and enjoy the series more as an adult. I enjoyed it as a kid a lot but I think being older allows me to appreciate particular elements of it more. It's my favorite season and I can't see that changing anytime soon. It's a fine line between being a typical power rangers season in structure and having a more serious tone. Also the only season where the 6th ranger doesn't properly join the team during their time as an active team and the only season to have a red sixth ranger.

It's actually ok because the ShadowForce visor keeps the helmet cheeks prised apart! Well done on cleaning the screws, I wouldn't know where to start! Time Force is great, it copies japan's serious storyline almost to the letter, so interesting that they both decided to take the same approach

@@powerrangertube I was talking about getting the visor in on shadowforce red. I have a problem of getting it to stay open and stick the tabs in the gaps. Might just be me. Time Shadow aftermarket is a pain because so many people seem to lose the visor and blue blades. I was lucky to find mine complete. One plus of the combination weapon is you can use it for regular mode blue if you don't want to go broke getting the jet blaster.

Is it just me, or do the armour on Time Fliers 4 and 5 (especially 4) make them look like A-Wing starfighters from Star Wars?

I’ve been looking for high quality reviews of these zords man bout damn time I found a channel for it you got a new fan 💯

This is probably a coincidence, but on Mode Red: The numbers on the shield's left side actually resemble 24. Mirai Sentai Timeranger was the 24th Super Sentai series! Again, probably a coincidence since the '2' is really just an inverted 5, but given Time Flier 4's own 4 sticker ISN'T inverted, I like to think it's a very subtle easter egg.

Great video! Can't wait for time shadow review. I'm personally hunting for timerobo minipla but its so expensive.

This is one of my favorite seasons of power rangers due to the zords, the theme, story, and me owning the entire show on a dvd set 😂😂😂😂😂

It's a ok-ish megazord but I feel to get anything good from it you need the Time Shadow Megazord

I finally bought all the Japanese versions. I had just the basic megazord as a kid, and it really bothered me that there was no silver paint on the cockpits so you couldn't see their signature shapes. Mode red was my favorite probably half due to mode blue not having a weapon. I assumed one of the smaller blue megazord toys' weapons would fit but never got one. With the new set I bought the shadow zord as well that I always wanted, and finally shelled out for the time jet blaster. I think since I still wanted it 20 years later then it was worth it.

Best season of all time.!

Technically theres another 2 modes where you can put red modes legs on in blue mode and the same with red mode with blue mode legs. These where known as Gamma and Theta modes in the plex design book

I think another amazing Feat that Time Force managed to Accomplish or Perhaps it was because of it, was that the show was Airing during the 9/11 Terror Attacks. I like to think that's the reason why it was More Popular with the Older Audience, as to appose to the Younger. I think it was even the reason why they Changed it from a Weekly Time Traveling Show, where they would Fallow Ransik through time 'Back To The Future' Style, but due to the Terror attacks they decide to just have just take place in one time Place. The 2001 Timeline.

They have to stick with the sentai footage in the end where they're only in the year 2000. Funnily enough, the proposed weekly time travelling premise lives on in several ways: 1) The first opening has the zords fly through a dinosaur jungle, ancient Egypt, and outer space. This was actually taken from Sentai (the zords also flew through a Japanese castle, Moses splitting the Red Sea, and a Dracula castle, but they're not carried over to Time Force) 2) There's a two parter where the rangers took part in various films (wild west, kung fu, samurai, etc), the footage was also featured in the 2nd opening credits to heavily imply that they actually went to those time periods instead of acting in a movie set. 3) the GBA game, being unrestrained by the Sentai footage, does exactly that as they travelled to various locations and time periods.

I have the Time Force Megazord but it has purple dots on the black and gray paint. Is it a paint effect or is it something wrong?

i wish i had gotten a copy of this megazord, hope we get a Hasbro lightning collection reissue.

My favorite megazord set and season

The Red ranger can fit in the cockpit sitting up you just have to sort of hide his head under the blue arch, so he can see forward but not up. I think putting him in feet first like this is so he can stand up right in mode blue. Actually now I wonder if blue and green can stand upright in the blue with their unique chairs. I'm going to go check on mine.

Doesn't quite help that Timeforce itself was affected by 9/11. Although the original Super Sentai had strong ratings It wasn't able help their case, but I do have a theory that Bandai weren't able to produce the quantities they were able for either Sentai or PR for the 2000 and 2001 season. Probably because they use all that diecast for GoGo V robots as well as that one megazord in Lightspeed Rescue.

Excellent review once again! 👌 I absolutely love the Time Force Megazord/Time Robo, it’s by far one of my personal favorite Megazords of all time (likewise, Time Force/Timeranger is one of my personal favorite seasons)! The versatility of how the individual Zords merged together to make 3 different modes is just incredible! Yeah, TF Megazord Mode Blue/TR Beta is very disproportionate especially when compared to the battle suit in the show, but that never really bothered me much (although it does suck that 1, 4, and 5’s separate parts can’t be attached anywhere in Mode Blue/Beta like the other 2 modes can, so, unfortunately, they have to be tossed aside, that, and its weapon was never released in America for whatever reason). One of the clips breaking off of 1’s back part has happened to me before like over 1 decade so I could no longer form the shield which was a shame. I also really enjoyed the gimmick of allowing Rangers to be placed inside their own cockpits (even if Red’s was the most awkward), and wish they continued it for future, and past seasons! And other than a few changes in terms of missing paint, die-cast wheels into plastic, no chrome guard for the sword, and no holographic sticker, etc., it’s still pretty much the same from the original Japanese toy! Also loved the way you filmed the Zords, Ryan, that was really cool! I can’t wait for your next Time Force review on the Time Shadow Megazord/Time Shadow! 😃

Time Force was one of my favorites as a kid so I don’t know what if anything put people off

Aside from the Timeshadow and whatever that brick was that was called the "Transwarp Megazord" in the Power Rangers Timeforce toyline, Timeranger had my favorite suits, peeps, & mecha. Well...the Timefire suit REALLY had to grow on me, that's just a barely modified Timered, and there's no denying that. 😏 I missed the zords entirely!! A girl I was dating at the time was working at Target was planning on getting all the Timeforce stuff for us, but once Target sold out of the Timeforce & Timeshadow Megazords, that was it cuz they never restocked. And I stopped her from buying the Q-Rex cuz that thing was disgustingly overpriced for what it was at that point in time. Ninety bucks for that!? More than double the price of a regular Megazord!? Voice control or not, NO THANKS. (Ironically, Bandai America wouldn't pull such a dick move again until Ninja Steel's Lion Fire Fortress Zord...) But those regular Megazords, maaan... between them, Transformers (Kay Bee Toys at that point was your best bet for Transformers), and certain Gundam kits...I should've seen it way back then that Target had craptastic stock ordering practices. (Wildforce was worse...much worse...figures and roleplay gear was abundant, Megazords were scarce)

I always had a Soft spot for the blue mode as A trend for the megazords they’re built like a juggernaut with broad builds and the blue mode was more like an Agile Soldier of one and not BEHOLD A FUCKEN UNIT

No. They don't have a written record of these events because this is a new event in Jen's present (3000) meaning they have no idea what's going to happen, and they only have the one set of zords.

Time travel is so complex. Like if a time traveller arrived yesterday, then by today I would know everything that they did while here yesterday, right? Time Force being 999 years ahead means they MUST know what happened, there's no causal link between them. Though the show seems to show their chronologies running simultaneously, you could argue they're really not, Time Force just acting on a pre-written list of recorded events of what they have to send back and when. I guess the flipside you could argue is Circuit (who calls for the zords) is synced to their systems and so that's why it is happening in a linear format over several months, and not just that Time Force were able to spend one day sending the flyers back over and over for all the zord battles and then put their feet up.

Nice review! This was my least favorite zord when I was a child. However, the design grows up on me because of how they manage to make the red and blue forms so cleverly (the recent red and blue mode is Ninja Steel megazord, but it lacks of awesomeness that the Time Force megazord has to offer). For the two-in-one zordlike with clever design, this is definitely my #1 favorite and then the second goes to Mystic Force Titan Megazord.

This megazord also reminds me of a space version of jet icarus

I got this sometime in 2001

Ah yes, the first Megazord I ever bought brand new for 25 USD, and I still have it. The designs are good, but the execution is kinda’ lazily done. Mode Blue didn’t have a weapon, no mini figs, and the gray plastic is very drab. Japan’s version painted over some of the gray parts with silver.

This is one of my least favorite. Though the two very different modes are cool. I think the final products are ugly and the zords lack individuality. 5 distinct robots turning into one cohesive big bot is what I love about the megazords. These ones just look too generic. If I didn't know what season they were from and I had to match it up I would have a hard time.

The modes don't hold well with the diecast and joint system being heavy and weak. It's why Mode Blue can't hold well, and it gets less screentime for finishers. Fans love the season, not its actual toys. Wild Force and Lightspeed Rescue have way more love for their toys.

I really don't like the look of either version of this Megazord the proportions are just all kinds of messed up but I do got to give them credit for trying something ambitious like this

A year late but I have to say I don’t like the blue mode what’s so ever cause it’s limbs are so slim and the top is so bulky it looks like it could just fall over mainly cause of the legs

Time force was a great season, but the megazords designs were very forgettable.

Time Force was a waste of time. I liked the zords & the suits but the story made no sense

These were some of the poorest designed Megazords for me. But I always found Time Force ridiculously overhyped anyway.
