There actually another difference between the max solarzord and Liner boy. There's supposed to be two more thrusters at the at the end of the wings near the main thrusters. The max solarzord just ignored them. At 4:28 take a closer look at the Japanese version and at 4:25 at Max solarzord.

You are completely correct. How bizarre!

The head really resembles Blue Space/mega ranger. Imagine a different storyline where TJ was the one responsible for the Solar megazord after the events of Final countdown. Would be cool to see older ranger, like what they did in Space when they brought back Adam to train Carlos.

Man, I really liked how so much of the Lightspeed Rangers tech had multiple uses, between weapons and zords. I love the Max Solarzord, but wish Bandai had found a way to have it combine with the Omega Megazord as well.

What is cool about this toy is that it’s the first sixth ranger or none multi unit Zord that scales well with the main Zord. It’s just ever since Turbo all Single unit Zords or none piloted ones have been rather short compared to the Main Megazords of the season. There’s something kinda cool about seeing a special Zord working with the main Megazord and sadly Robo Racer and Mega Winger Couldn’t capture that with their heights. The Delta Megazord, Toro, Strato and Centur were a little bit better but still not perfect.

As someone who own the LSR Megazord and the Max Solarzord, I'd be lying if I said that they're not my favourite combining Megazord duo in all of Super Sentai// Power Rangers. I love that they're proportionally akin to one another and when they combine, the final product feels like a stronger and united version of its two separate counterparts. I also love the use of hidden parts for the combination sequence such as the combined head (mask) as well as the fore-arms and the splitting of the shuttle-nose to become shoulder-pads. Those sealed parts made the Max Solarzord feel less like a slave to combination at a glance and more like its own zord, even though it's pretty obvious that it IS that much (if that makes sense). The entire set-up from the Megazords to combination is really clever and intuitive and I want to put the Delta Max Megazord one above this pairing because it looks buff and fucking bonkers with GIANT GOLD SIREN FISTS? TWO COMPLETE VEHICLES MOUNTED ON ITS SHOULDERS WITH A TRUCK AND V-TOL JET FOR ARMS???? THE FUCK? Ehem. Yea. It's sweet, but as anal as I am, it loses points for the obvious fists and combination head on the Omegamax Megazord. I suppose my love for the two Megazords in question harkens back to the OLD Super Sentai where parts for transformation and combination were concealed with witchcraft which uh... they no longer do these days with their Mugen-bine schemes and cubes? ToQger? WHAT ARE YOU?

It was a very clever combo, although now yeah you can see the warrior mode lacking because it's been allowed a lot of compromises to make it work later. I also enjoy the Omegamax Megazord, very similar season zord-wise! Yeah agreed about Sentai designs - the mecha did used to seem like witchcraft. It usually doesn't anymore. I guess the design team changed a lot.

i remember finding the lightspeed solarzord combo really cool, then being a bit dissappointed when i got the toy a saw the solarzord legs couldnt seperate like they could in the show

Haha surprised you noticed in footage that fast! But yes, it's a 10th doctor one, made of metal and plastic, literally my favourite screwdriver (who knew it was possible to have a favourite screwdriver). It lights up and makes sound too when the batteries aren't flat

Today I was able to get my hands on a max solar zord and I love it, it makes my Japanese light speed megazord looks amazing 😁

Still got my little one love it. Used to try to combine it with the lightspeed megazord by pulling it's arms legs and shuttle off and just placing it on top and legs on the side 🤣

I kind like how this is just another Auxiliary Zord in gogo v and took a break from the six ranger trope

Lightspeed has one of the best zord sets form the star stride ultrazord.

@@powerrangertube I just glue that piece back and it’s working just fine. Well if I have to be honest I sold that megazord and got a new one because pyro rescue one arms brake 😑. So I’m taking more care for the second copy that I have

I remember being completely shocked back in the day that the Max Solar Zord could combine with with the Lightspeed Megazord.

Haha there's truly not enough dual megazord combos in the series. We seem to have become obsessed with alternate weapon/auxiliaries instead.

One of the last zords I bought as a kid. I think Time Force being so good convinced me to buy one or two more, but this is one of my least favorite zords EVER. Such a disappointing buy as a kid.

Clips breaking is real. I just bought a dragonzord and was just going through the different forms and a clip just broke off without me even doing too much. Shame you're not into super minipla. I forget why you said you don't like them. IMO the posability alone makes them worth, and I also like how they don't take up as much space as the regular deluxe megazords as someone who doesn't have much display space. I bought the life force megazord super minipla and it looks pretty sick; I'm personally a fan of black versions of zords. You have the best megazord reviews hands down. Can't wait for more. btw what do you think of the Jungle Fury megazord designs?

Thanks man, it means a lot to hear feedback like that! Jungle Fury just doesn't do it for me to be honest. I see that toyline and want to recoil, it's like a visual assault. It's...interesting what Bandai America chose to do there though so I will talk about it at some point. Sucks about your Dragonzord. Is it a clip that's wrecking the transformation without it? Super Minipla I definitely appreciate how posable it is, I'm just so deep on deluxe stuff, I don't want to get going on their scale as well if that makes sense. Cause knowing me, I'd have to buy everything, and then I'd be annoyed by ones they don't make!

@@powerrangertube The clip that broke is only needed when in battle mode, which is supported by other clips so thankfully it's fine. Totally understand not getting into minipla after seeing your collection. I only have a couple deluxe zords for that same reason. I'm actually kind of opposite from you in that I like the black and gold zords, partly because it limits my deluxe zord collecting. With the new shokugan model project I'm just waiting for them as they come out and hoping they make the ones I want. The wild force ones coming out I feel good about, but I just hope they make mystic force and spd.

They made 6in or 7in of this zord it had both versions the combined and regular mode . It was an awesome toy

I bought one of these years ago. one of the clips on the cockpit broke and it is yellowing out sorta. /sadface. i don't own any other LightSpeed. but its nice.

Have you tried running the Datazord in a virtual machine (software that emulates older operating systems)?

Time Force Megazord = Starts later this year. Wild Force Megazord = Never! I don't have that season. I will cover it though, I just won't have it on screen.
