@Soapromancer Shutting down a Smash Bros tournament, even if it’s just online was probably a good thing. In most cases I really DON’T like how Nintendo treats fan works, but at the same time the Smash Bros community has a systemic issue with pdfiles. We’ve all heard the horror stories where they’ll get caught with kids.

ok but even that viewpoint is stupid because there are plenty of nintendo-like games on steam. A hat In time here comes Niko Pizza Tower Axiom Verge if you want that Metroid hit Bloodstained if you want that Castlevania Hit (not a ninty series but synonymous with their earliest consoles) the Entire ass Shantae series Bomb Rush Cyberfunk if your more into the dreamcast era. etc. Like Ok cheif clearly doesnt vibe shooters given he didnt like doom eternal, thats fine (hell even as a fan of that game broardly I am of the opinion that D:E is a bit of a mixed bad) but there are so many games on steam which fit the vibe of what harman probably would be looking for... if he was going to give them an honest shot. which he isnt. because he doesnt want to try anything, he just wants Nintendo to be the bestest and only gaming platform there is.

i'm very inclined to believe he just made it up entirely. He didn't go into details and I'm just tempted to assume he looked at the steam storefront page on his web browser and tries to sound convincing. Those games are a few years old too, if he wanted to give himself credibility he would have gone for newer titles that are really unique to PC, at least. Tales of Arise and Doom Eternal, a quick web search indicates they have Switch ports, so my assumption is that he thought of non-Nintendo Switch games he knows of, checked if they existed on Steam to avoid being proven wrong, and called it a day.

Well it hurts me seeing Tears Of the Kingdom losing game of the year but also happy due to the fact that this will push Nintendo and other game companies to push boundaries and creativity when it comes to development. The future will be interesting and I am truly looking forward to it. That guy better be greatful that the Switch is the one of best selling consoles of all time. Back in the Wii U/3DS era all game trailers were for PC/PS4 and Xbox One while the Will U had nothing in the 3ds party side of things.

@@joshdangit1612 Tbf, as much as I loved Nier automata, it is pretty mid in the grand scheme of things. I barely remember the story, it was fairly forgettable. Though, the characters, bossfights, and progression systems more than made up for it. And the stunning art direction.

Make me wish I'd rather play better games on better hardware. The best part that some of it are free.

Quick reminder: this is the same guy who said he bought DOOM Eternal on Steam, and he "kinda" regretted not buying on Switch, because he was sure it ran better there. We still don't know his "gaming PC" components but, in my opinion, making one or two things up is something he's willing to do to make the Switch look better than PC, specially now that the Steam Deck is a thing.

The funny thing is on switch it’s the opposite of what he says for the exclusive games in the switch library it’s smash bros and maybe Mario maker for me the rest of my switch library is just stuff I already have on my pc and I only got because I just haven’t bought a steam deck yet and or are just Touhou games that come prepatched these games being the following: Touhou 15.5, Touhou 17.5, postal redux, postal brain damage, Touhou Luna nights, Touhou genso wanderer, Touhou azure reflections, Touhou genso sky drift, the sniper elite remasters of 2 and 3 along with 4 deluxe, monster hunter rise sunbreak, monster hunter generations, and finally monster Hunter stories. All of those I can play on my PC, Xbox, or ps5 but I wanted portable versions and was too lazy to buy a deck butI’m bout to buy said steam deck anyway so I will probably only be using my switch for like base smash bros ultimate but I’m gonna be emulating it on the steam deck with mods anyway so that’s redundant.

Can someone recommend how to emulate Unicor Overlord? I would like to play it buy I refuse to buy it on PS5.

The funny thing is the few good non Nintendo games on switch are just ports of pc and PlayStation/xbox games like skullgirls, some of the Touhou games, sniper elite (which is way to sim on the switch due to lightning issues), the postal games (they run ok but it’s running with scissors there games are meant to be janky so it ironically takes away from it also all the games blurry sometimes after loading in), monster hunter rise (bro it looks so bad on switch despite it releasing a month earlier on there) , monster Hunter stories 1 and 2 (which the mobile versions looked way better lmao and it’s just better Pokémon kekw) like tf they are all just butchered versions of actually good games from other platforms.

I guess Harman was looking for the free stuff instead of playing Palworld, Helldivers 2, Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Portal, Portal 2, KOTOR, KOTOR 2, and many other games.

PC/Steam Deck can emulate ALL versions of Soul Calibur II (PS2/GC/XBOX) and with the XBOX Original version you can mod it and create custom costumes and stages and play it in 4K with all the guest characters.

I'm mainly on console (hope to get a rig later), but I'll occasionally play on my notebook. Even just on that, I have ALOT to play. Battlebit, FTL, Dusk, Quake 2, & Vampire Survivor come to mind.

So I guess even being able to play nearly Everything in existence isn't valid enough to have "Good games"?

I wasn't watching the playtime and though "no way is Joe about to actually finish a Harman video..." yeaaaah, never mind

As someone who plays a lot of tycoon games, strategy games, and city builders I can’t imagine a worse platform for that than Nintendo Switch. And I like my Switch. Great for long train trips or killing time when taking my dad to a doctor appointment. But at home the stuff I like to play either aren’t on console or my mod heavy games can’t be done on consoles. And that’s fine.

Steam TOTALLY doesn’t have Helldivers 2, Deep Rock Galactic, Elden Ring, Dragons Dogma 2, Vermintide 2, Warframe, Final Fantasy 14, Witcher 3, Darks Souls 1-3, Sekiro, Warhammer Darktide, and so much more. Steam has non of those games.

My problem with steam and pc game pass is that there are too many roguelikes and survival sand boxes.

So many much cheaper Steam games with way more content and replayability, so it can't even be that.

Harman has been in that basement for too long. He's lost touch with reality.

A lot of console peasants think PC is literally Steam and thats it lol Without knowing you can run/play executables from Windows 98, XP, and so on until Windows 11 plus you can run Virtual Machines that can run those Operating systems if you want better performance 😂
