The arguments against PC gaming are as follows: More expensive upfront, I can't handle the controls on a keyboard even though I type out this long essay ON A KEYBOARD, I can't be bothered to change settings because I'm lazy, and optimization issues exist. Or the outlandish one where they act like they have to completely unhook and dismantle their PC every time they stop playing a game. When everyone ever plugs in the computer once and uses it as needed. Just play the game. Who cares what box or harddrive it's on.

Maybe im in the minority here, but some of the arguments listed in this specific article hold a little water. As someone who has had to spend hours diagnosing pc issues, I certainly don't blame someone for wanting to have a simple, more streamlined, and "curated" experience. it can be very nice to know that it will more than likely "just work" when you only have a limited time frame to play your games in and if someone's tech skill level isn't to a point where they feel comfortable tinkering and figuring things out, I'm in full support of them going the route that lets them play more games during the time they have, because as an industry as a whole, we all benefit when more games are bought and played. PC is better. Don't get me wrong. I'm very glad I jumped ship, but some of those points go, if someone is trying to reduce as many barriers to entry as possible, console can be a valid choice. for the record, I am one of the people that have had trouble getting controllers to work on pc. My first gaming pc refused to connect to my xbox controller until I got the wifi adapter. Bluetooth just wouldn't work. During my early days of PC gaming, I would spend more time working at figuring out why things weren't working than I would play, and I can totally see why that could drive someone away even if it's the exception to the rule.
