DELICIOUS JEWISH BREAD in the French Countryside, easy to make!MUSIC
In this video I share with you a day in my life in the French countryside, Saturday, Shabbat day, market day. We will show you along with my sister and my niece, how to make our special bread. The Jewish Bread called Challah, is made every Friday for Sabbath (שבת), a long way tradition that I’m so happy to share with. It’s easy to make and all the family can participate on making it!
Extra Bonus, all was filmed as we are, joyful and musical as my brother in low is a singer/composer and performer.

That bread looked so gorgeous and crusty, which is my absolute favourite type of bread. Your niece is a very talented baker of bread Dana, she is skillful at making those intricate patterned ones. @@danascookbook I don't have a scale, so kind of guessed on amounts. Dough was too soft and I did not have bread flour. It made an Italian style loaf. Not pretty, but makes great toast! 🙂

Hiya Dana, Really enjoyed a visit with you and family / friends. Who doesn’t love a bit of live music in the house. My Scott used to be in a band lead singer and yes he does sing in the shower lol. Ohh the fresh markets you have are great. Ironically I went to my local farmers market for eggs today been going for 20+ years and was informed that they are no longer allowed to sell their own due to Ministry of Something?But can sell from a larger farm? but of course that has increased price. Such a shame truly as it’s been in family for generations. Anywhoo glad to see you again perhaps( What Dana does Next ?!) could be a new name? For channel? Thank you ! Yes of course I almost did actually prepared a gluten free one . My favourite flour is spelt flour, I recommend it highly. You prepare it the same way also buckwheat flour if you like, I also make crepes with it Brittney’ish and of course oatmeal, I am not allergic but if I eat bread I eat gluten free as well. My tasting here is the only bit I had 😊
Is there much of anything that Dan cannot do? 😊
