ፍርሒ ክሳብ ሕጂ ኣይወጻሉን ዘሎ😢😢

The book is a magnificent eye-wittness account of the most important details and events since 1967, written in a fantastic language and glamorous choice of words. A history book that left almost no stone unturned. I thank Mesfin for his highly appreciable participation in all ups and downs of the struggle and his vivid memory to remember every bit of it. Last but not least, I'd like to thank Prof.Awet for his amazing capability of the English language and his untiring effort to make such a great history book exist.

The translation to Tigrina should be done sooner rather than later. Mesfin doesn't have to necesserily do the translation himself. It can easily be outsourced to professional translators and done quickly which can then be proof read by him and others for completeness.

Even though I dont share your pollitical views,I just want to add one thing,if this book belong tobthe Erirean struggale it would help if it was written on Tigringa.Finally,the narrator had to write it himself then translate it into English not the other way around.

Thanks very much for the long expected book, hope others will follow suit.

Mesefen Hagoes if he writes a book, but he keeps himself secret, write a book not a whole one, in the first place if he wants to protect himself and the others too, because he is guilty himself as much as Isias I think consciously or unconsciously, In any case, he must leave the whole truth in handwritten, Before his death, in any case, the little he can do justice to the Eritrean people, he can free his soul, be remembered in a good way.

If you’re thinking only locally you shouldn’t suggest it to be only in Tigrena, how about Arabic, Tigeigna and if possible other local languages. Not mixing some English words in Tigrena language interview doesn’t help to make the interview to be organic. The intellectual reformists who were given a bouges name by Nizghe Kiflu is not ሜንካዕ but መንካዕ :: I respect you and your effort to invite guests to educate us , however I see the need of huge practice in preparing your question and doing some research about the topic and the person. Finally I would to remind you one of the task of interviewer is to challenge their guests and to make a follow up question. This problem or basic lack of journalism ( frankly speaking more interviewer than journalists)is not only you but on most of Eritrean channels. As we are in developed world there are so many tools help us to improve our knowledge. As for Ato Mesfin I would to remember and challenge him to write everything he knows not what he would like to tell because it’s the history of all Eritrean and Eritrea. The history of Eritrea belongs to Eritreans . No body has more or less ownership of the history. Either tell it the way it was and the way it is . Dear Samuel , I can't wait to read the book and opine my views. So far , in this immediate interview , he reluctantly mentioned a statement " Men Kemzigebero RuduE'yu " refering to the the ugly and unfortunate incident of those who were executed under the pretext of "Yemin"/ MenkaE. Can he bravely tell the Eritrean Public who did it? Mesfin Hagos prefers to speak in parable through out his diaspora interviews and unlikely, that is the main point that he lost credibility to all his interviews all along.

One question to former tegadalay Mesfin is, how can he renegade to the people of Eritrea by making a compromise with weyane and assuming they will help him march to Asmara to be the leader of the nation. How can SHOULD that thinking goes thru his vein after being a hero and serving the struggle. His assumption with the leaders is different but to renegade his people is something he will die with his conscious. Why he wrote the book in english is simple, so the likes of Awet are thinking to win the young generation but this is only a dream

I wish him the best but still I expected him to write all details including his mistakes . I believe in his 30 years leading there were up and downs. The second one is , even after independence there are a lot Eritrean disappeared while he was in position. I am sure he knows about those victimized Eritrean . So as a reader I want to learn and know what is the detail truth! Not only what he wants to tell me .

He only wanted to tell what makes him look a hero. After all history favours those who narrates it. Nothing better to expect from such devils that murder their comrades for their opinion.

No matter when and what the circumstances were ,its a crime to kill a human being. The perpetrators should face the law and justice should prevail. Mesfin is saying those people (someone's children, husband/wife, brothers and sisters) ,some how, were there at a time then evaporate like a thin air 😢 my thought is ..the enemy does come from far.

My only problem is he wrote it with Prof Awet. Awet is not the right person to affiliate. Just refer to all his previous interviews to be able to know and determine his intellectual ignorance.

I don't mean to belittle him but I agree with you whole heartedly Awet is not an intellectual nor prolific writer. I think this book is written by a ghost writer. Another reason is why was the book written in English. May be to please their western masters.

I agree awful decision by Mesfin to include Awet in this project. They both showed awful judgment by making this in English first. Are they out of their mind?? Mesfin should have wrote it in a language he is familiar with then translated it to whatever language. I don’t think this is going to go well, there will be many people and tegadelti line up to tear apart their decision. Awful, awful, awful. 😢

The same here. Not to belittle him. But he is an apologist of the Western pseudo liberal democracy, apologist of TPLF elites and their agenda 📋 whether deliberate or out of intellectual ignorance, and to some extent obsessed excessively with anti Eritrean sentiments. That is what I noticed. Why would he advocate to write it in English...He intentionally wants to humiliate the Eritrean revolution in the eyes of his Western bosses. Anti Pan Africanist indeed. I don't mind revealing facts but his his intention is evil from what I understand. I hope he also writes about the brutality of TPLF elites and their genocidal war in the entire region including Somalia, South Sudan etc

I am happy finally a book is written by one of the leadership of the struggle who contributed his part as an Eritrean as well had a big role military role in winning the war against the Colonial Rule of Ethiopia and brutal army who committed genocide against Eritreans. I can't wait to read the book to have a genuine general picture of the struggle and the role of the leadetship from day one to current ONE MAN PERSON LEADERSHIP for 32 years since Independence and the consequences of his leadership that brought Eritrea to become a Failed State and Eritreans at home live in darkness and over a million Eritreans forced to abandon their country live out of Eritrea around the world. The one man leadership has been during the armed struggle since 1966; therefore there is a demand for history to be recorded and written everything about this person. Failure to do so is hiddening facts forever and I consider this a crime. Indirectly this person might be willing not to do so but he can't force Eritreans not to write and document about him. Eritrea is still young nation since its birth and has lost thousands particularly the highly respected Fighters/Tegadelti top officers and Generals during the struggle. At the same time equally there are hundreds killed and thrown to prison with no reasons and Eritreans and particularly their families need to know what happened to them. Dear Mesfin Hagos congratulations for writing the book and it was long awaited most of us were were waiting for too long. It is good for your soul and for Eritreans it is their history. I hope now once the book is read they will demand for more and for some reason you may not have time as well you are getting older but today's technology you can outsourced and pass the facts and documents so that talented individuals can write for you just simply have a courage to do so.
