Good point about deer running off to next security cover! Makes perfect sense. I never thought about it that way before. I will definitely be paying attention to deer direction going forward. Thanks.

Scouted all weekend in ohio and was the same set up.......found 5 scrapes and 7 rubs setting stands this weekend cant wait for sept 26

Summer scouting, humidity, mosquito's, hornets, poison ivy, spider webs, sunburn etc... yet, it's kind of fun.

I hunt 2 wooded funnels of about 3 acres each surrounded by crop ground. Some of the biggest bucks I've ever seen use those funnels. Overlooked by many wanting to hunt a forest.

Dang it guys you make me wish I was there with you for sure I only found your channel a few days ago and I probably got 10 videos onto my belt I wish I would have known about it a long time ago I really admire what you guys are doing I just screwed up and ordered a new climber and just got my bowhunter magazine today and sure enough they got a centerfold of tree saddles a I cursed so loud that my wife said was wrong

I saw the tick video. I had one on me yesterday?barly stuck. Thanks fot the info. Ive been hiking in the thick woods all year. I have jumped the same buck 4 times in the same bed. He keeps?comong back. This is a north wind spot. Really thick behind him and he can smell the other way. I saw him yesterday in velvet Like a 130 inch ten point. Just some info. They will come back if spooked a lot.

So do you guys set up right off of those beds? Or try to get away from them a bit

That is the best way to scout

I wonder if the bucks like to bed around that pond dam because of the thermal air currents in the evening. In theory the pond water temp will rise throughout the day which will draw in cooler air as the sun goes down. That puts the buck in a position to make a smart move when he decides to move in the evening as the cooler air around the pond will be funneling right to the deer. Thoughts?

It’s off topic but the guys use the app so I’ll Ask. Anyone know if when you subscribe to onX if the maps update? I was looking around the free version and the maps are a couple years old at least. It still shows my neighbors pool and they haven’t had one in years.

Yes. Layers like ownership and permit areas are updated annually, but satellite imagery is less frequent and varies by location - onxmapssupport.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360035960431-Satellite-Imagery-Basemap
