i love listening to this piece, the beautiful arpeggios, the gorgeous melody, the deep feeling as the notes strike you in the heart. thanks for the amazing videos you continue to send out to us!
Its crazy how Debussy put so much thought in this beautiful piece of music. Great video as always!
2:51 I was literally just thinking it reminded me of a hymn you’d hear at church when you put that it’s written to sound like that!
Memorizing this now trying to get pass the polyrhythm. Your explanation made me love the piece more

After the polyrhythm i got stuck in line 32 due to my lack of experience. :(
How do you even compose something this complex... Debussy was literally a genius Also just noticed you're almost at 100K subs, keep up the beautiful playing 🎵

@@alistairproductions maybe just the fact that more contemporary music of that time is sort of ignored more. Earlier romantic sort of outshines it unfortunately. Although it is not necessarily uncommon

Debussy's pieces are so whimsical and wholesome! If heaven had a playlist, it should be filled with Debussy. And you captured it so beautifully! S2

That's so true, I always felt like this piece was representative of the gates of heaven opening
This was my first Debussy I learned. He is my favorite composer…beautifully done!
Speaking of the world needing something or maybe someone, esp in classical music, along comes Debussy and he fitted perfectly in the 'gilded age' as Picasso did in the art world! The world was more than ready for these 2 impressionists! Music rooms and salons, couldn't get enough of Debussy! Thanx for including him among your listing! ❤
It just shows how determined you are that even though you are not feeling well you are willing to record such a beautiful piece for us to enjoy!
Every time I watch one of his videos it’s makes me wish I would have taken my piano lessons and practice time more seriously.
Ooooh we getting some Debussy now!! I feel like the way he writes watery/flowing music is absolutely genius, and you expressed it so well! :D
Amazing how he can thoroughly enjoy his own music,,, just being one with his instrument ❤
i’m literally learning this piece right now, this is such a beautiful rendition im so inspired :’)
This piece and your rendition is so beautiful. glad you posted this cause i discovered this song
Educational but funny commentary and beautiful playing, thanks for uploading again Will always look forward to your videos!
I love the Arabesque suite. Such a masterpiece, and you play it so beautifully, friend.
Beautiful. I love Debussy and your playing.
Really glad I stumbled upon this! You do this piece justice with your performance! Thank you for posting!
I never really properly listened to this piece but your rendition is absolutely beautiful to listen to, I really felt the emotions in this piece.
So beautiful 🥺✨️ and I loved the little extra in the end ♡ classical music sure is so magical ✨️
Currently learning this piece because of this video. You're such a good pianist, one of my biggest inspirations!
Thanks for this! Best pianist on YT, if he doesn’t put all he has into going pro he will regret it when he’s older. I want whole albums on Spotify and concert dates. I will pay for concert tickets. His timing and taste are really elite level, I prefer his style to Lang Lang, who I also like a lot.
I’m fairly new to piano and the world of classical music so to see you do commentary on this piece while hearing it played is really cool for me! So amazing how you picked up that pattern on the ending, thank you for sharing that with us! Now the ending of Debussy’s Arabesque will have twice the sparkle haha.
Finally a piece I can play too Edit: the Easter egg at the end!!!!!!! Ugh I love that piece even more now
aaaaaa this is one of my favorite pieces! beautifully played as always :) (also, i hope you feel better soon!)
I hadn't listened to this piece until last week surprisingly, since I have listened to vast amounts of classical music already. It's such a beautiful piece! I really love how calm debussy's pieces are. You played it very beautifully!
That was lovely. Really well played. Enjoyed the crescendos contrasting with the softer delicate passages and marcato melody.
I love the way you presented this -- with the music so I could read along, and your insightful comments. Thank you!
One of the most beautiful pieces out there!
A very beautiful piece indeed, and one of the best Arabesque performance i’ve ever seen, props
Thank you for talking about that set of notes at the end, that was really cool! Also, I appreciate the commentary being on the top :).
Because of the way you played the first few opening bars, your tempo, your emotional expression… it just made me smile immediately, as if you “got” the emotionality of the piece exactly as I was looking for it to be expressed. I rarely have a reaction like that, especially in the first few seconds. So, for that reason, subscribed. 100%. Beautiful job.🙂
Absolutely loving it
this is absolutely one of my favorite debussy pieces of all time, its so magical.
I saw the notification yesterday and I was so excited to watch another one of your awesome videos! Played perfectly as usual, will!
Despite being sick,u still managed to play this beautiful melody, its very insane, great job.
He has returned 🙇🏻♀️ Beautiful as always!
i’m glad you came back ❤️🩹
Great playing as always! And great music choice, the entirety of it is just beauty.
When I hear this piece there's only one word that comes to my mind, Love.
I just discovered your channel yesterday, and I'm already hooked. Please do lots of Liszt and Schubert going forward, and I'll never get tired of Chopin, Beethoven and Debussy. ❤
yes the comeback we never expected
Nice smooth classical piece! Keep it up!
One of my favourite pieces played by my favourite pianist on yt
That was a beautiful performance. Came across as very heart felt. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I really like how You explain several pieces you do it funny and interesting. You are a great pianist too Ty continue doing videos please
I remembered when my mom was playing this on the piano,,,, brings back a lot of sweet memories with my family… thank you. I always thought this was the most melodically sounding Debussy ever composed
This piece is so beautiful
Amazing as always. Love every video.
Magic, indeed. Thank you for the fine performance, analysis, comments, and most of all, communicating the WONDER of this music! Lately I’ve been on a bit of a French kick: Debussy, Satie, Saint-Saens, Poulenc, Ravel. They all made unique and truly extraordinary contributions to the art, especially via the piano. Vivre!
Wow glad he played this piece. I played it for a competition and it was really hard to learn. Props to him for playing it so well.
WHY is it only possible to give ONE thumbs-up! This video deserves One THOUSAND! If this is what you're like when you're sick, I can't imagine what you're like when you're well (oh, wait. Moonlight Sonata Third Movement. I guess I DO know what you're like when you're well!🤣) Thank you for uploading this. My part of Canada is getting a heat wave and the beautiful, flowing notes of Arabesque No. 1 are like a cool stream! Feel better soon.
Most interpretations of Debussy's music are rushed. I'm so grateful for your interpretation of it here, which is similar to my own so that I can use this video to listen to and immerse myself in this piece to better learn it. Thank you!
love your videos man, keep it up !
YOURE BACK AHH I MISSED YOU :D
I'm actually almost done learning this. It's my favorite.
I'm currently learning this beautiful piece. Amazing interpetation!
Yes, very pretty piece. I learned this piece in high school (2003-2006), and I still have it memorized. I never knew that genius little bit at that end that you shared, about the last line and first line lining up very closely, which was like solving a puzzle. Yes, classical music is so amazing like that.
Great interpretation, I like your expressions when playing this piece, makes me wanted to play and learn this piece again.
ive played this piece to literal shreds and never noticed the thing u pointed out :0 nice one
I wish I could like a video multiple times, that was beautiful

An amazing song played by an amazing pianist
Oh man, that's one of my favourite piece by Debussy, absolutely gorgeous! 😍 As usual, great commentary. And I really like the post-credit scene, it's a very good idea to explain a passage a little bit deeper than during the playing itself, it would be great to have this segment in future videos. (Also, the text next to the sheet music is better in my opinion, you should keep it that way.) Until the next time, happy practicing! 😊👍
A 2am treat Thank you!
Wonderful, delightful and a fascinating surprise at the end. Thank you,
Welcome back also Hope you get better:)

Great performance. Thank you!
Thank you for this video and for your consistently incredible content! I'd love to hear you improvise over this piece someday. No humor needed because Debussy (ha, ok) manages to be both earnest and simultaneously exquisite :)

Ah dude you're awesome. Lovely performance and quite enjoyed the commentary at top.

I literally found your channel tonight..saw your Chopin Ballade No. One...sorry, numbers aren't working on my keyboard....Anyway, I loooove Chopin and was interested inhearing your interpretation. And am now in the process of checking out some others from you. I like your commentary as well, provides some explanation of what's happening, helps me understand a little better.
