I'm sure you won't see this because it's an older video, but thank you SO MUCH for doing some Debussy challenges! I almost exclusively play Debussy (not well rounded at all, but also I'm not a professional at all, so I do what I want haha) but I often feel bad about my level of playing because I have been at it for 20+ years and I don't have any virtuosic Romantic crowd pleasers to show off. Seeing you, who is 100x a better pianist than me, putting so much work and thought into one of Debussy's simplest pieces is so heartening and inspiring for me. Many a skilled pianist could sit down and get the notes down in an hour and show it off with no soul at all. But the hard part of Debussy *is* the delicate soul of the music and I appreciate you so so much for showcasing that!

I love your channel, just practising this amazing piece myself, am getting a lot of good insights from listening to you, thanks so much. PS also love your musicality and humour, sitting in a cafe in Reykjavik and listening to your practice (mind you with BOSE on my ears) and smiling a lot. Thanks again! I've been learning this piece for 3 weeks. And I am only at page 3 of 5. It is such a beautiful piece. And I just love practicing it because it is so dramatic and story telling like. I would love to hear you play the complete piece. You are being too hard on yourself really. Just have fun and don't place too much pressure on yourself. Your 1min is my 1 week achievement. If I'm as hard on myself as you are, I will definitely give up playing the piano. I started 4 years ago, bought a cheap China made piano, watch KZread videos .. and practice. No Formal music education or teacher. And I suck at music all my life but like the sound of the piano immensely. I just want to be able to play Arabesque beautifully like the way it is supposed to be played. You are really very very talented. Rgds 加油

Hey Annique, I usually don't comment but I just randomly came across your channel 2 weeks ago and been hooked ever since. I am currently studying abroad and can't play on my piano and seeing you playing the piano rekindled my love for this beautiful music. I am happy to see your channel is getting the recognition it deserves since you gained a lot of subscriptions in the last days. Keep up the good content and your mood cause you have a really cool vibe and I hope you get to play concerts again soon so we might see you there too. Merry Christmas/Frohe Weihnachten! :)

I started learning this piece a week or so ago and had the exact same experience with the left hand! The left hand is brutal, much harder than you expect when you first look at it! Fingerings really did not jump out at me at all. But it's awesome how you train your posture and elbow movements from the very beginning, I tend to concentrate too much on finger work and lose fluency as I get faster!

I think she has not been very long on KZread, just recently started. But i assume it's also very time consuming to edit all the videos in that high quality and then focus on practicing of 12 Chopin Etude, and giving online courses and having a life xD...I think she is amazing.
